About King Lear

As he approaches old age, King Lear (Conres Hill) tries to divide his kingdom and power between his three daughters, Goneril, Regan and Cordelia. Through disguised admiration and affection, Goneril and Regan receive inheritance. However, Cordelia, the youngest who loves Leah deeply, refuses to flatten her father, and is de-inherited and exiled.

As Gonelil and Regan move him away from their doors, Leah begins his journey to madness, wandering through homelessness and poverty with his devoted companion, the fool.

An unparalleled portrait of power, hubr arrogance, greed, betrayal, King Lear Currently running at the gate until Sunday, April 27th, 2025.

“It was beautiful… very moving.”
