Gigi Hadid Just Revived This “Dated” Ugg Trend

Fashion always keeps me on my toes. If you had told me a few months ago, or even a few days ago, that one of my style icons would bring back the very Ugg trend I was actually living in when I was in grade school, I would have laughed. But here we are. Gigi Hadid was recently spotted wearing trendy Ugg boots inside out.

Hadid was spotted walking in New York with friends today wearing a long double-breasted wool coat, tan wide-leg trousers and beaded inside-out Ugg boots. She accessorized her chic cold-weather outfit with a bandana-print silk scarf, red sunglasses, and a Miu Miu shoulder bag.

For those unfamiliar, inside out Ugg boots feature the brand’s signature shearling on the inside as well as the outside. This style was very popular in the early 2000s, with celebrities and everyday people like me folding their Uggs to reveal the inside of the shoe, or opting for styles like tall sunbursts with strips of shearling around the ankles and down the sides.

We at Who What Wear have already declared classic micro boots and area slip-ons to be the style of 2025, but the question remains whether Hadid’s claimed inside-out Ugg boots will also make the list.
