To be honest, I was relieved when summer finally ended and autumn arrived. While feeling warm sunshine on my face is something I look forward to mid-year and never tire of, I’ve found that the cooler fall months appeal to me in a broader sense. After enduring the hot and humid summer, as autumn approaches, we can finally take a breather.

As a frequent wearer of jeans, I’m always on the lookout for new denim trends to change up my rotation. And this season, I’ve found a whole new piece that’s breathing new life into my denim collection. Plus, it’s a style that both me and my Gen Z sister (whose wardrobe can’t mix and match) have just invested in. This style takes off the barrel-leg silhouette that has become so popular this season and gives it a twist. The seamed jeans trend is coming to the forefront. As the name suggests, these jeans feature offset seams and darts at the front of the jeans, which help add a voluminous finish and focal point. You can imagine my surprise when I learned that my sister had also recently invested in twisted-seam jeans, since I had learned about this new style at work.
