Usher, who was honored as a global visionary, appeared on the carpet with his wife in an all-black Ferragamo look that was both sporty and sophisticated. His wife chose a black velvet asymmetrical dress with sheer tights and velvet high heels.
The “Bad Girl” singer stepped out to enjoy the festival in a black Hermès ensemble paired with a double-breasted cropped blazer styled by Jean-Michael Cumi.
R&B singer Coco Jones gave an exceptionally raw performance on stage at the EBONY Power 100 Gala, stunning on the red carpet in a strapless Who Decides War gown. “I love corset snatches, but I also love playing with class but also sexy, so I think that’s what I try to do a lot with my brand and myself,” Jones said..
Also opting for a strapless dress was rapper-turned-talk host Yung Miami, who accentuated her curves and looked stunning in a black and white Rafiq Zaki dress with a deep V-neckline. I saw it.
Another fashion bomb couple that turned heads last night were KJ Smith Black and Skye Black, who both wore powerful suits.
They each discussed their outfit choices with Claire Salmers, and KJ explained how she had tried on a billion dresses, but when her stylist fitted her with a white suit, she knew this was the perfect fit.
“I’m personally very comfortable with it. I love this color. It makes me feel so much better. I think power is love. To me this look reflects love and light. That’s why I wanted to wear white.” said K.J.
Her husband Skye Black accompanied her in a black metallic Maison Privé suit and said he was excited to see the collection. He said:Now, more than anything, we black people must come together. Everyone in this room is honored and deserves to be here because our history as we know it is being erased.“
Naturally glowing with good energy and sparkle in her eyes, actress Shonika Chandai looked gorgeous in a green two-tone sequined asymmetrical dress finished with beaded fringe trim.
When I met Fashion Bomb CEO Claire Salmers, her reaction was simply priceless. When she realized she was talking to the founder of Fashion Bomb, Shandai exclaimed:
