Meet Ebony Martin: An Inspiring Voice…On Stage and Online
Ebony’s journey as a creator began with a moment of burnout that most of us can relate to. As a professional opera singer, she found herself seeking a freer and more personal creative outlet. What started as casual posts celebrating music, fashion, and fun quickly evolved into a movement of authenticity and self-expression.
“I started sharing my love of music, fashion, and creativity online when I was feeling burnt out in the opera industry,” says Ebony. “What started as a fun outlet has grown into a space where you can tell your stories, connect with others, and build a community that celebrates individuality and authenticity.”
Now, Ebony’s pages are a symphony of bold fashion choices, body liberation, and radical honesty in navigating obesity prevention and accessibility in the creative industries.
“I realized that my content was making an impact when people related to the issues I highlighted, such as anti-obesity and lack of accessibility, were finding fashion inspiration from people who looked like them,” she says. “It showed me the power to express myself as I am.”
all key styles

When it comes to style, Ebony Martin describes her look as follows: Fun, diverse and authenticthat’s exactly what she offers. Her costumes celebrate her influences: the feminine flair of her grandmothers and the bold, rhythmic confidence of hip-hop culture.
She’s not afraid to stay balanced, show a little skin, and break some rules in the name of self-love. “I love crops and cutouts!” she laughs. “I love showing skin in a fun way, so any piece that gives me that opportunity instantly makes me feel more confident.”

For Ebony, clothing means creativity, not restriction. “If possible, I would like to size up many of my clothes so that I can easily style them in different ways,” she says. What is her personal style motto? Comfort, versatility and confidence always.
“I hate having clothes constricted to fit a vanity number, stretchy or not. If I don’t want to keep my size, I don’t want to keep my money.”
That energy? we love seeing it.
Use fashion as a microphone
Ebony’s platform is not just about showcasing costumes; expand the conversation. Through her content, she calls out the lack of true inclusivity in fashion while highlighting brands that are getting it right.

“I use my platform to challenge beauty standards by fearlessly sharing my size as I review and highlight brands that demonstrate true size inclusivity (often 3x or more),” she says. “I aim to make fashion accessible, celebrate all bodies, and drive the conversation towards a more inclusive and unapologetic industry.”
