chanel jacket, mother jeans, chanel bag & Flat (similar) here), dior sunglasses
I loved the Chanel show this season. It felt like a fresh perspective on something very established while retaining everything that makes this house instantly recognizable. There was a lightness to the style and the way it was worn, and it felt current without losing its characteristic structure.
What always draws me back to Chanel is the archive. There’s so much history there, the silhouettes, the tweeds, the subtle changes in color and trim, but it never feels like it’s fixed in an instant. Each piece can be reinterpreted depending on how it is worn, becoming something to be collected, worn, transformed and ultimately passed down.
I find that some of the pieces I acquire the most are vintage. Finding an old jacket or coat and giving it a little tailoring or styling it in a new way can make you feel like it’s completely yours. It’s not about the era in which it was born, but how it fits into your life now.
Looking at these works, it becomes clear how much diversity exists within the same framework. Soft pastels, bright tones, classic creams, intricate weaves – each has a familiar Chanel structure, yet has its own individuality. It’s a reminder that you don’t have to approach it in a one-sided way.
