Have a fun Saturday!
So, I’m back from a whirlwind trip to Paris!
As many of you may know, I love France and am a Francophile, so going to Paris for Fashion Week is always a must. I was thrilled to be able to wear a dress by a well-known black female designer. Erin Nesmith To the Schiaparelli show:
Erin Nesmith I am a fashion designer and artist with over 10 years of experience in the fashion, art and modeling industry. Starting out as a lingerie designer, she blended art and fashion before moving into formal women’s wear. Erin’s designs empower women through bold and elegant pieces, and her platform is always about more than fashion. She uses her work to advocate for gender equality, mental health, and sustainable development.
Commenting on the look, created specifically for Paris Fashion Week, Nesmith said: “I found myself captivated by Paris and the Olympic equestrian competitions. As a horse lover, I wanted to incorporate that passion into my work and used a palette of rich black velvets and brown nudes. and evoked the elegance of horses. Horses are known for their commanding presence, and we designed a dress with a bold structure to reflect that. To complete the look, we designed a dress with a bold structure. We added thoughtful details like the horse’s bit to tie the whole concept together.. ”
