Beatles fans, please look forward to the first episode. Kinsale Beatles Festivalin connection with balmers ireland, will be held over the St. Brigid’s Bank Holiday weekend from From Friday, January 31st to Sunday, February 2ndn.d.2025.
Over the years, Kinsale has become synonymous with a diverse range of festivals celebrating food, music and culture. This new festival is set to be an outstanding addition to the town’s vibrant calendar. The line-up includes a Candlelight performance in St Catharines featuring the Beatles by the Munster String Quartet, as well as Let It Beatles and Beatless at the White Lady Hotel and The Beatlebums at Blue Heaven. tribute acts, plus numerous other performances at Kinsale. Unique pubs and wine bars.
The weekend begins with long-time Beatles fan and broadcaster Dave Fanning in conversation with Stephen Cockcroft and Jason Carty of Ireland’s popular Beatles podcast Nothing Is Real. Dave Fanning will also discuss his work with Paul Muldoon and Paul McCartney, followed by a chat with festival headliners Let It Beatles at The White Lady Hotel Kinsale.
A number of speakers will be appearing at various venues around Kinsale throughout the weekend, including Paul Muldoon, Peter Doggett, Dr Holly Tessler, Jane Hayward, Anna Talia and Deirdre Kelly. Stephen Cockcroft said of the inaugural festival: “Sixty years later, interest in the Beatles is at an all-time high and we are delighted to be a part of this festival. What better place than Kinsale for an international quality Beatles festival? ”
Saturday 1cent Highlights for February 2025 include a 1965 Reeling in the Years style walking tour, a talk at Abbey Road and the fascinating story of Drinish Island, the Isle of Mayo purchased by John Lennon in 1968 will appear.
Tickets for St Catherine’s Candlelight Concert and White Lady Hotel Live are now on sale on Eventbrite. As the number is limited, we recommend that you make your reservation early. We’ll be adding new venues to Eventbrite in the coming weeks, so watch this space.
