Ah, the things we do for fashion. Rain slammed Paris on Wednesday evening, slowing traffic around Trocadéro Square. Though the weather outside was certainly dreadful, eager fans gathered outside the venue adjacent to the Eiffel Tower to catch a glimpse of their favorite Balmain star/soldier. Anitta, Cardi B, Brooklyn Beckham, and even the First Lady of France all made it inside without a hair out of place, though Anitta joked backstage that her dress was so tight she couldn’t breathe. The show itself offered some welcome respite, with the words “Je T’aime” and “I Love You” blaring over the speakers multiple times. The first look flaunted sequined red lips, as if to kiss away the pain.

Next came dresses adorned with feminine faces and shift dresses with distinctive Parisian stripes, all luxurious and embellished in Balmain’s signature way.

Balmain’s spring/summer 2025 collection was more wearable than most, with pointy-shouldered black blazers smartly paired with silk blouses and tailored wool-and-leather trousers.

A belted tote bag will definitely be the next work outfit must-have.Colorful pieces stood out, including a red sequined gown and a blush pink dress, which closed the show with a flurry of silk rose-colored dresses that would make any fashion lover blush.
