Alix Earle is full of energy off stage. The social media star, podcast host, and founder spent the last few months of 2025 training, rehearsing, and performing. dancing with the stars (DWTS). She and dance partner Valentin “Val” Chmerkovskiy swayed, wiggled and whispered their way to the finale, where they ultimately took second place. It was a new experience for the 25-year-old, who is used to speaking candidly with her 13.5 million social media followers, although she had never experienced such a demanding and physically demanding competition.
The experience was also tough on her skin and hair. The celebrity, known for her GRWM videos and honest beauty talks, says she’s had to adjust her routine to compensate for her heavy stage makeup and, most importantly, her super-tight hairstyle created in high heat. Earl is the face pantene‘s new Abundant & Strong collection is a line of products designed to treat and prevent hair loss, resulting in visibly fuller-looking hair. “I have suffered from hair loss before,” she says. “Over the past two years, I’ve gone through periods where I felt like my hair was starting to fall out for the first time. Around this time last year, I rediscovered Pantene and… [noticed] When I used it again, my hair felt great. I was 100% on the ball and then switched again. I’ve been using [the new Abundant & Strong collection] meanwhile dancing with the starsIt’s a lifesaver for me because they always have tight hairstyles, curls, and use tons of heat. Generally, it just sticks to the hair a lot. ”
earl swears shampoo, conditionerand scalp serum. She uses all three in her simple daily hair routine. “It’s great because I feel like I don’t have to worry about using 10 different things or mixing all the products together. It’s a very simple three-step routine that keeps my hair healthy. … It’s really, really saved me.” It’s so good that it even passed the extension test. You know, when you take your extensions out and have to embrace the thinness of your natural hair (IYKYK). “I took my extensions out and I was so pleasantly surprised by how thick and healthy my hair felt when I took them out. I love my extensions and have been a Pantene girl for the past year and will continue to do so.”
When we asked Earle about her current favorite hairstyle, she listed a classic blowout with a side part (gasp!) as her preferred red carpet look. She laughed when I told her that the side-part vs. center-part conversation is debatable because it’s often split between Millennials and Gen Z. “I like to change up my hair. I mean, the middle part that I wear isn’t really a real middle part, because I think I just picked that part one day, and it wasn’t the center of it, so I didn’t realize it until people started doing their hair. But lately, I’ve been really liking the side part, and I feel like it’s okay to switch up the two.”
When she styles her own hair, she uses the T3 heat tool, especially hair iron and flat iron. “I think they have really good heat styling tools, and they feel great on my hair,” she says. That said, Earl admits that when she’s off-duty, she takes the path of least resistance when it comes to styling. She often reaches for her trusty nail clips. “When I’m relaxing, I always put a nail clip on the top of my hair, so I can lean back on the couch or bed. It’s a big lump on the top of my head,” she laughed.
Besides her hair routine, we’re curious to know if there are any other in-the-shower staples she swears by. “I have sensitive skin, so I usually stick to something pretty simple,” she says. “I usually use fragrance-free products, but Aveeno. My only hack is that I always use a men’s razor. For some reason, I feel like my shave has gotten better. So there’s always a man’s thing gillette razor In my shower. ”
So, what about makeup and skin care staples? I had to ask. After all, Earle is the unofficial icon for GRWM videos on Instagram and TikTok. She first told us her favorite makeup products. “I have always loved, Victoria Beckham x Augustinus Bader Skin Tintit’s amazing that it’s so expensive. for dancing with the starsI loved Huda Beauty Lip Stain Because we were on camera all day every day, so we needed something that would last. During rehearsals, I drank a lot of water and energy drinks. With this lip stain, you won’t have to worry about lip liner all day long. ”
When it comes to skin care, she emphasizes the importance of a consistent and effective routine, especially when it comes to sweating from dancing and wearing heavy makeup on stage (Earle has been very open about her struggles with acne in the past). “During this period, skin care was very, very important to me because we were dancing, sweating, and wearing heavy makeup every day,” she says. “I wanted to make sure I had a really good skincare routine with good ingredients that weren’t too harsh on my skin,” she says, citing cleansing balms and mandelic acid to “exfoliate acne-prone skin and maintain texture.” When asked about which in particular, she remains tight-lipped. “I’m going to be in charge for now,” she says.
Do you foresee new beauty brands in the future? When I asked her what she was most looking forward to in 2026, she seemed to confirm my suspicions. “I plan to do more in the beauty field,” she says. “I’m stepping into the role of being a founder, so that’s going to be the next big journey for me, and I’m really looking forward to it.” I can’t wait to see what she does next.
