Pre-fall preview! I simply had to wait until August – before I felt too early. I filmed content, attended meetings last week in New York City, enjoying the evening temperatures in the ’60s. It was an absolute dream. I’m not ready for fall, but I’m absolutely ready for fall! Today I’ll highlight many of my favorite pre-fall discoveries. The “rules” before the fall will also be revealed. Pre-fall fashion serves as a transition time between typical summer and fall collections. Yes, it’s about dark tones, layering, heavier fabrics, but it’s much more interesting than that. There are never strict “rules,” but below are five guidelines I will consider, so let’s get started.

The magic is in the mix

This is the middle season, so mix it up! Combine a longer silhouette with a shorter silhouette – chic shorts or Satin skirt in Printed trench. Combine heavy and light fabrics – think about it Short sleeve cashmere sweater and Embroidered lace pants. Combine dark colors with light colors – return muted earthy tones to pop. The opposite person is attracted!

Leave the room for air

We want to be hidden, but not Completely Covered. I think it’s trimmed Lightweight tracker jacket, Cardigan style striped knit, felt mini skirtand Strappy Mary Jane Shoe options. All of these works offer weight and material without feeling overwhelming. After all, once the temps have actually started to soak, it is always possible to add tight or knee height or layered types to get more warmth. It’ll be even more cheerful!

Compare and consider your options

Of course it’s layer season, but the fabrics of those layers are important! We have not necessarily arrived in wool or down. There are first pit stops in cotton, corduroy, suede and more. And don’t be embarrassed to try out the silhouette! a Longer lightweight trench, cropped, Quilting bomberOr interesting Unfolded plaid shirt jacket. Or, it’s as easy as your go-to baseball hat transitions Corduroy For the next few months. This is the season to wear these pieces that you may not be able to wear in spring and summer so make the most of them.

Please check for yourself

It often shows changes in waves. Of course, in the summer you can get beautiful Indian Madras prints, pastel prints and preppy gingham, but for me the best checks seem to be constantly moving forward. Now is the time to make them shine! think Pop unexpected print, mute Men’swear-inspired patternsand simple Country plaid. Next, consider these works in interesting or incorrect ways. a Mixed Print Skirt. a Cropped pants. Or a Braided Fringe Bag!

Prefall is the perfect season to explore and experiment with your style! And these are just some of my go-to guidelines. The rules are meant to break!
