In life, there is rarely anything better than the quiet summer days spent relaxing at the sea. It’s hard to find everything about the experience completely sublime. From the crashing waves in the background to seeing sunlight dancing across the skin, slowly flipping over a good book and finding some elegant swimsuit trends. The latter would even say that on the calendar it will be one of the most convincing aspects of spending several days on the beach days. As fashion people, we take great pleasure in people’s viewing and trend watching. In addition to the runway, there is no better place to get ideas about how the tide is changing from a fashion perspective than being outside the waters.
Of course, not everyone shares this perspective. It can be very stressful to find the best swimsuits, plan beach-friendly clothes and figure out what trends will reach summer. Luckily, that’s where we can help. After researching recent runway collections and social media posts, we curated a list of seven elegant swimwear trends that are already surged in style sets. We also share shopping recommendations. Whether you’re planning on swinging at a club in Saint-Tropez or soaking it in Sardinian crystal blue waters, you’ll definitely find some of the most stylish people wearing these beachwear trends this summer (probably you). Don’t have to struggle any more, just dive in.
1. New voyage
I call it a cliché, but there is one classic swimsuit trend you can always see in the summer: nautical stripes. Don’t make any mistakes. The Breton striped beachwear we’ve recently started washing off on the beach is a much more boozy than it was in the past. Taking inspiration from “coastal grandmother” and some of the old money aesthetics, this season’s striped swimsuits exudes an air of elegance through retro bikini shapes, refined color palettes and truly preppy styling. The result is a new wave of voyage swimsuits that proves the never-ending charm of this particular summer-inspired print.
2. Wild things

The stripes of the voyage are not the only printing trends that have been able to spread to the real world through the recent swimsuit collection. In fact, we’ve seen something else in the wild. If we keep up with recent trends, it’s no surprise that patterns inspired by creatures that invaded pre-made shows could do so through our collection of resort wear. It is easy to assume that the appeal of this trend can be attributed to its rapid acquisition, but that is not the whole truth. Animal-printed swimsuits stick out from the herd because they were “tame” in a way that makes them easier for anyone to adopt. Whether it’s the shape of a classic leopard bikini or a minimalist zebra print dress, there’s no shortage of ways for everyone to embrace their wild side this summer.

3. Beautiful pastel

If you don’t like wearing prints but want to pop a dress this summer, then you should have a pastel swimsuit on your radar. Unlike other beachwear trends, pastel swimsuits are a solid choice for summer. Because they are visually appealing and have the perfect balance of not leaning too much towards the ratio of summer styling. Whether you choose baby blue, powder pink, lilac or butter yellow, one of these cute pastel colors will stare at you (in a good way) this summer.

4. Modern color blocking

For those who find themselves challenging with single colours, there is another swimsuit trend that indulges in your indecisive side. Two-tone swimsuits have been around for quite some time, so you might think you’re a bit tired or finished, but that’s not the case. What makes the color block swimsuit attractive is how it is given a contemporary spin through prominent contrast plumbing, reimagined retro silhouettes, unconventional color pairings, and most importantly, creative styling. This is one of the few beachwear trends that allow you to look chic or cool, or check all your boxes this summer, without choosing to stick to single colours.

5. Hardware Store

Colors and prints are one way to ensure that your swimsuit will attract everyone’s attention this summer, but it’s not the only way to achieve that goal. Another beachwear trend that has captivated the style crowd is what we call “hardware stores.” Swimwear with jewelry-inspired hardware, decorations and even beads. This swimming trend is not centered around a particular type of hardware. Rather, the throughline of the entire collection appears to be about rethinking popular silhouettes by adding valuable trinkets. For example, the classic white one-piece suit is infinitely cooled with thick silver hardware, the small black bikini straps become much more special in the addition of chunky stones, and the strapless bandeau suddenly gives siren energy with the incorporation of an oversized starfish metal applique. Essentially, traveling to a hardware store (or buying a decorated suit) will make your boring beachwear feel bold again.

NGL, it’s sad that this one-piece suit is not in the collection.
6. Soft Life

We love adding hardware, but we want a softer approach on certain summer days. Enter the “Soft Life” trend in the chat. While we condemn the rise of Cottagecore and Coquette’s aesthetics, we have slowly seen more delicate swimsuits take over the coast, the pool and even the backyard. What sets this trend apart from other styles is that it appears to utilize the idea of living a soft, relaxed life through swimsuits featuring eyelets, appliques, ruffles and bright colors. If you’ve been looking for an excuse to book that beachside vacation, consider this swimsuit trend to live a little softer this summer.
7. Returning to the 90s

Now I hope that the tide waves of new swimwear trends have been fully revealed to take over the beach shores everywhere. Without a doubt, all of them are nothing new. It’s an explosion from the past. We can’t survive the constant shift of the tide, alias trend. This seems like a minimalist one-piece suit, as it is one of the few styles that almost anyone can wear anytime, anytime. Whether you choose a silhouette with high-cut legs, square necks and carved finish, it will look effortlessly elegant for the rest of the summer.
