For about 80% of the year, if you find me and about it, I might wear jeans. This unshakable uniform only sways during the hottest spells of the summer when denim begins to feel more suffocating than stylish. As someone who has never felt the best in a dress or skirt, I naturally carry me perfectly and comfortably in lightweight, breathable pants.

My winter pants collection tends to stick to the strict Navy Rota, black and grey, but my summer compilation tells a different story. On bright days there is a lighter, more playful palette. Style Notes: It’s not surprising to hear that Butter Yellow is spending a moment. Softly spoken shades appear everywhere, including pants, and offer a gentle way to introduce colours without overwhelming your clothes. Sit somewhere between cream and sunshine yellow and feel an instant uplifting and very easy to style. I especially love combining it with soft grey, crunchy white, chocolate brown, or blush pink.

Style Notes: The red color trend shows no signs of slowing down. Also, the shape of the trousers for leg grazing is my favorite way to wear the trends. I like to leave things grounded to white tees and black layers on top.

Style Notes: Cobalt blue is already predicted as one of the colors to define next year, but it is coming early this summer. Although it may seem bold at first glance, I found that cobalt actually works well with other brights considering lemon yellow or candy pink due to the dopamine dressing effect. If you feel less adventurous, white or navy will keep the impact in place without diluting it.

Style Notes: In my book, chocolate brown is an underrated neutral, and in the summer, as well as winter, it is rich, refined and wearable. This season I’m considering replacing black pants for a pair of deep cocoa tones like the Massimo Dutti, nothing below, from something like COS. In a warm month, it brings soft edges to your outfit while maintaining the polishing of the dark tint.

Style Notes: For me, summer doesn’t mean summer like great white pants. It’s clean, crisp and versatile, brightens up your look without the need for extra colours. Whether worn in a tone top at minimal moments or contrasting with the bold shades, white pants are the warm weather that I come back to every year.
