Introducing…Christel and the Curvy Girl Chronicles! A regular column with content creators, influencers and Christel. This is a guide to life to the best of your life, no matter your size or lifestyle!

Plus-sized content creators often face more barriers to the social media industry. It’s difficult, but that doesn’t mean it’s impossible.

There are five restrictive beliefs I had to overcome to appear consistently in this space.

“I’m not appealing to social media.” – Limit the belief No. 1 of plus-size content creators

Beauty standards are constantly changing, and Fatphobia runs deep. Social media rewards the “prettiest” content creators who live “perfect” lives, but I am showing a real, unfiltered journey here. Screw in the standard. I know that my values are not bound by aesthetics. Even if the fat idiots of the world don’t see it, I am validated by God and myself. I think it’s really appealing to me that is important.

“There is no “correct” plus size shape for full body content. ” – Limits belief No. 2 of plus-size content creators

There is always a hierarchy. Like the discussion of bright skin and thick skin, plus-sized bodies are treated differently depending on the proximity of “social acceptance.” People in the shaped like hourglass and pears are often more acceptable than those in the apple shape. That’s unfair, but I’ve learned to make peace with my body at every stage. Some people need to see themselves represented. If I feel uneasy about my arms, swimsuits, or crop tops, I will remind myself The most interesting thing about me is my figure.I have a lot to offer.

“I can’t post about fitness until I lose weight.”– Limit the belief No. 3 of plus-size content creators

You can’t please everyone…especially when you’re fat. And for the sake of record, fat is merely a descriptor, not an insult. People have an opinion about your gym outfit, your roll, or how you shake when you jump. Ignore them. Move your body not because you love it, but because you love it. Or do not. Do anything you It feels good. If you don’t want to lose weight, don’t let someone’s self-loathing predictions make you feel sick about yourself. Wherever you go, take up space online, online, in the gym and features. You deserve to be seen.

This is also a TV character who helps you see.

“I can’t see men, so something must be wrong with my content.” – Limit belief No. 4 of plus-size content creators

When society actually conditions us to do so, it’s easy to fall into the trap of creating for the male gaze. Some plus size women thrive on dating, but that wasn’t my reality. I was overlooked, rejected and made me believe that I would never be a “prize.” But not who lives there it’s not Looking at me, I focus on women do. My platform is a safe space for those who feel different and are made to believe they are not enough. Do you want to be romantically desired? of course. But I don’t waste any energy proving my worth to those who refuse to see it. period.

“We shouldn’t get hope for working with our brand.”– Limit the belief No. 5 of plus-size content creators

It’s 2025. Brands that prioritize DEI must be standard, not an exception. Sadly, it’s not. But I refuse to play small. When I market to a brand as a plus-size content creator, I do it with confidence because my skills are important, as well as my mindset. If you expect things to be difficult, then they Intention difficult. It’s not about dismissing a real obstacle, but expecting rejection is a traumatic reaction. And I’m in a relaxing business. what about you?

Who am I? – Can I become your new favorite plus size content creator?

I’m Christel. I’ve been creating content long before it turned it into “girl.” And I was a plus size girl for even longer. Although it has been a high on my journey of self-love and self-confidence, sharing my life has helped me to take up the space. If you don’t want to be a plus-sized content creator, stop making it I’m small. Life tries to hinder you – it’s not one of those things.

This is my first article of this nature for years. If you want more, find me on YouTube, Instagram and Tiktok: @christelleangelexo.

Let’s meet again Curvy girl chronicle.

I’m excited! you?
