After declaring it last month as “So Back,” Wet Leg today released their sophomore album. Moisturizer It will land on July 11th Domino. Follow-up of the British band’s 2022 self-titled debut is led by exhilarating dance punk songs “Catch these fists”. This group – founding members Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers, bassist Ellis Durand, drummer Henry Holmes and guitarist/synth player Joshua Mobaraki filmed the music video for the track on Wight’s Isle. Check it out and find the album covers and track list below.
The band reunited with producer Dan Carrey and worked on a new LP. They succumbed to Southwold in March 2024 to write an album, worked during the day and watched horror films in the evening. “We were just having fun and exploring,” Chambers reflected. Teasdale added: “We focused on this. Is this fun to play live? It was very natural to write a second record together.”
Another inspiration behind the album’s lyrics was that Teasdale fell in love in 2021. “I found it so funny and reinforced writing love songs that I don’t want guys. I feel that’s a little different.”
