The Oasis was the first date of a highly anticipated reunion tour, visiting its first show in 16 years on Friday at a public stadium in Cardiff, Wales. kick off (What is the story?) Joining the brothers on stage were Andy Bell on bass, Paul “Bonehead” Arthur and Gem Archer on guitar, Joe Wolonker on drums, Joe Wolonker on trumpet, Steve Hamilton on saxophone, Christian Madden on keyboards and Alastair White on trombone. The show was cast to open, and Richard Ashcroft dedicated his “bittersweet symphony” to Liam and Noel.
After playing Principal Stadium again on Saturday, Oasis is set to head to North America, Asia, Australia and South America before performing shows in Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin.
