Episode from Criteria: The Catholic Film Podcast. This is a great episode that I would be remiss not to share with the listeners of the Catholic Culture Podcast.
An outstanding new film directed, written and produced by Anthony D’Ambrosio victory of the heart About St. Maximilian Kolbe. In this moving interview, he talks about the difficult path he and his team took to create this independent film with a low budget, high artistic standards, and deep Catholic spirituality.
Film is an expensive medium. A higher budget means you have to calculate mainstream appeal to get your money back, whereas a lower budget leaves more room for artistic and spiritual integrity. Although the production faced many challenges, it was buoyed by the hope that the project could open up new avenues for other Catholic filmmakers.
“Triumph of the Heart” can be shown in your parish and will begin streaming on the official website on November 1st.
