Paul Jarnberg is a sacred music composer and director of the Magnificat Institute, providing the education of the father of Catholic liturgical music. He talks to Thomas about his career, including interesting digressions on gospel music, his relationship with Catholic liturgy, his standards of “noble accessibility” in liturgy, and the ability of Roman Catholic composers to learn from ancient Eastern chanting traditions.

This episode includes Jernberg’s selection St. Philip Neri’s Massused with permission. If you would like to hear more musical episodes throughout, send Thomas’ feedback at podcast@catholicculture.org.
