Rock history is full of strange stories. But Luxury are arguably the only band in which three of the five members are Orthodox priests.
Combining hard-edged instrumental textures with sweet, melodic vocals and literary lyrics, Luxury has recorded and performed sporadically since their inception in the Christian punk scene in the mid-1990s. I’m here. They maintain a loyal following and their latest album is trophyreleased last year to positive reviews.
Father singer, songwriter, and guitarist David Lee Boseman joins the show to tell the band’s story, discuss the relationship between liturgy and modern culture, and discuss topics such as ordination, the real and fake marriages, the scourge of pornography, and more. Commenting on his lyrics dealing with the theme, and the sanctification of the body.
