Today we will be discussing one of the greatest Arthurian stories, told by one of the greatest poets in English history, an anonymous 14th century priest. Sir Gawain and the Green Knight It has a lot to say about civility, original sin, and grace, all tied together in a very funny story about a giant green knight who survives being decapitated.
Poet and critic Anthony Esolen will also join the program to discuss poetry, Middle English dialects, and the tradition of alliterative poetry.
