Focusing on future forgotten realms, the book was central to D&D’s big reveal in Gencon, detailing the regions, factions, subclasses and backgrounds available to players.
The popular TTRPG publisher has previewed many of the upcoming content that is coming out Forgotten Realm: Heroes of Fair and Adventures at Faerun, Dulogy of D&D A volume that brings the player an updated version of the Forgotten Area.

Adventures at Faerun
Adventures at Faerun This book aims to become a demon of DM and legend that wants to go deeper into the world of forgotten realms. The book focuses primarily on the five regions of Faerun, each bringing a different flavour to the campaign.
- Best known for its vastness of the desert, the western region of Karimshan embraces the concept of non-Western fantasy. The design of the setting has shifted away from the past and was developed in collaboration with scholars of cultural and religious studies in North Africa
- North facing Daleland is probably the higher fantasy of the five regions
- Moonsha Island with a Fay-themed theme
- Frostbite and cold icewinddale
- Finally, the dark urban-oriented gate of Baldur.
The book includes 50 new two-page dungeons in D&D that are easier to pick up and run, and aim to traverse the region and level spectrum. The book also has many tools to bring flavour to your story, including new options for developing “fame” in the verse (ideas featured in the 2024 ruleset).
The book also holds iconic villain statistics from the history of forgotten realms, including the option to run “Three Dead Chosen” if players want a campaign involving them Gate 3 of Baldur Villains like Lord Gold and Orin The Red. The book also has special humanoid statistics blocks, such as special statistics for drows.
Faerun’s Heroes

Player Side Guide for Adventurers of the Future Forgotten Realms focuses primarily on providing players with new tools and options that bring unique flavors to the game.
The team has announced eight new subclasses:
- College of the Moonbird
- Knowledge Domain Cleric
- Banneret Fighter
- The Paladin’s Oath of Noble Techniques
- Winter Walker Ranger
- Three Rogue scion (a class focused primarily on the death toll 3, prominent hostile forces from Gate 3 of Baldur
- Spellfire Sorcery
- Bladesinger Wizard

This book also introduces Circle Magic. This introduces a tool that allows multiple spellcasters to team up, cast high-level spells, and add additional effects to D&D.
Players who want to engage in iconic forgotten realm factions like the Harpers and the Dragon Cult have the option to build relationships and gain fame with them. When they interact with the group and perform tasks, they can earn many storey benefits. These include homes, discounts, magical items, NPC allies on request, and (in at least one case) dragon eggs.
The sect includes:

- Emerald Enclave
- Harpers
- The Lord’s Alliance
- Gauntlet Order
- Thai Red Wizard
- Zentarim.
The book contains multiple background options, including backgrounds that allow players to attach to these iconic forgotten realm factions.
The book contains an extensive section detailing all of the 42 gods of the Forgotten realm, accompanied by the epic bounty (feats that can be acquired at a high level) that will make players the selection of specific gods.
Forgotten Area: Faerûn’s Heroes and Forgotten Area: The Adventures of Fair It is scheduled to be released on November 11th, 2025.
The original book is just the beginning. D&D Beyond is planning to release three additional “DLC” options that will give players new character options and story tools. The first Astalion’s Hungry Book, This is scheduled to be released on November 11th, 2025. This book offers the option to play a vampire in D&D. There’s more Nessar’s autumn, A time travel story focused on the lost Nethers Empire on November 18th, 2025. The third DLC has not yet been revealed, but it is scheduled for release on November 25th. The DLC offers “very meat options,” the D&D team tells participants, retaining many character options.
