Seattle-based musician Natalie Lu, who performs as Sea Lemon, has released a new song, “Sea Lemon.” “Sweet anecdote”. The record follows his recent collaboration with Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard, “Crystals.” Check it out below.
“‘Sweet Anecdote’ was the shortest song I’ve ever written that went from nothing to complete,” Lou said in a press release. “We worked on this song in producer Andy’s studio, first with the basic guitar and then with the synths, and quickly built the structure of the song in about an hour. Shortly after identifying the song’s eerie melodic structure. I felt strongly that I needed to write lyrics about love to the point of obsession.
she continued. “The whole internet thing makes me feel like I know too much about people, and I wanted to get into the dark, evil side of that with this song. “That person” I love art (movies, music, books) that is unsettling, not overwhelmingly scary or horrifying, and I love “Sweet Anecdote.” is intended to be an unsettling song, both in melody and lyrics, and we’re excited to share it. ”
