Adrian Tchaikovsky teams up with Rowan, Luke and Deckard to create a blockbuster sci-fi hit. children of Bring the series to your gaming table Children of Time: Role-playing game.

Children of Time: Role-playing game is a tabletop role-playing game based on Adrian Tchaikovsky’s award-winning science fiction novel in which a society embarks on an epic journey of growth, perseverance, and self-discovery through the ages.

In the wake of global apocalypse, the desperate remnants of humanity abandon dying Earth in a giant ark to find a new home among the stars. Their journey lasts for thousands of years. They follow an ancient star map that promises a terraformed paradise world, just waiting for humanity to claim it.

But paradise is already occupied. Unbeknownst to humanity, the terraforming process that unfolded thousands of years ago had unforeseen consequences. Animal species imported from pre-collapse Earth have gained sentience and are attempting to take control of their home planet.

Time and destiny are in your hands.

of children of time RPG focuses on:

  • A fluid movement between large-scale social change and flashpoints of intimate character drama.
  • Exciting characters you can create in seconds, especially for short arcs or entire eras.
  • A solution through tactful action where acting with authority, violence, or tact each have their own risks and long-term consequences.
  • Adopt different roles within a scene to drive the story. For example, a point of view that acts as the protagonist, a crowd that acts as a whole group of people, a ship that stands in for the creaking ancient ship itself, and even Doom that determines exactly how things will go wrong.

The game is an evolution of various systems from previous Rowan, Rook, and Decard titles. Science fiction worldbuilding and multigenerational storytelling Legacy: Living in Ruins Combined with Fallout and Beats systems. Heart: Underground City.

Children of Time: Role-playing game Minarva Makjanda (Legacy: Living in Ruins, blood rhapsody, voidheart symphony), additional writing and design by Grant Howitt (Spire: City Must Fall and Heart: Underground City, eat empire, paranoia and honey robbery) and Elaine Lythgoe (broken weave, Warhammer: Imperium Madictum and Age of Sigmar: Soulbound) Game illustrations are by Sam Lamont (dimple, doctor who, monster arcanum, forbidden psalm, Husk’s Prison, three ghosts), using a combination of 3D models and digital painting.
