Commenting on the new single, Casar said: “I feel like I’m experiencing a lot of people in very strong positions in the world and in the social positions, and they are just as vulnerable and just as unsettling as all the people underneath.”
Recorded at Catskills’ Evians Flying Cloud Studios, Pilot Light It features backing vocals from Hannah Cohen and Sima Cunningham, as well as contributions from drummer Sean Mullins. “I’m a very private person and I’ve had a period of time that brings my cards closer to the best. I let it all go,” added Casar. “I think being honest and vulnerable from a relationship where I ended up brings me closer to people.”
