Netflix has officially announced the long-awaited return of Lana Condor, star of the “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” trilogy. Condor will reprise her beloved role as Lara Jean Covey in the upcoming third season of the hit rom-com series “XO, Kitty,” which is a spin-off from the original film.
A new video shared by XO features Kitty, Condor on set, hinting at a reunion between Lara Jean and Anna Cathcart’s Kitty Song Covey. Prior to Condor’s appearance, co-star Noah Centineo guest-starred in the previous season as Peter Kavinsky, visiting Kitty at her school in South Korea.
The synopsis for the upcoming season reveals that Kitty will enter her final year at KISS Academy with a clear plan for her final year. She aims to make meaningful memories with her friends, strengthen family ties, and make important decisions about her future in South Korea. The season also depicts the development of Kitty’s relationship with Minho, with the show promising that “this time for real” Kitty will face unexpected surprises that shake up her plans and relationships, ultimately teaching her to embrace life’s surprises.
“XO, Kitty,” executive produced by writer Jenny Han, will be helmed by showrunner and writer Valentina Garza for Season 3. The cast includes Anna Cathcart as Kitty Song Covey, Choi Min-young as Dae, Jia Kim as Yuri, Lee Sang-hong as Min-ho, Anthony Keevan as Q, Regan Arya as Juliana, Sule Thelwell as Marius, and Hojo Shin as Ji-won.
