INsiders Guide: The BLK LT$, Marti Perramon, Petey USA, SKYLAR SIMONE, Kaneb Andrews…

Andreena Miller, known professionally as The BLK LT$ (The Black Lotus), is a Grammy-nominated, Toronto-born artist unafraid to push musical boundaries. A powerhouse singer, songwriter, producer, and engineer, she has collaborated with industry heavyweights such as Drake, DMX, Future, and French Montana, while also working alongside top producers including Boi-1da, Noah “40” Shebib, Hit-Boy, Rodney “Darkchild” Jerkins, and RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan.

A raspy-voiced pianist and a Universal Music Publishing writer, her music has been featured across film, television, and commercials. Now based in Atlanta, she continues to expand her artistry by producing for other musicians, scoring documentaries, and directing under her BLK LT$ Media Group imprint and as a recording artist with 36 Chambers.

Marti Perramon announces a new EP entitled Boy From Barcelona, Baby. Released on the 28th November via Polydor Label Group, the five-track project will also feature previously released singles ‘All My Life’, ‘Sugar (Honey Ice Tea), plus today’s single ‘Peace Sign’. An ode to awkwardness, in true Marti fashion he flips cringing at yourself into an infectious alt-pop anthem: “Peace Sign is about the nerves I feel around somebody I have a crush on. It describes the actual story of me doing the cringiest things in an attempt to seem casual around somebody I like, and then immediately regretting it.”

Marti Perramon’s charismatic, confessional take on coming-of-age took shape after an unorthodox assimilation to British life. He moved to London from Barcelona when he was 9, and started school without being able to speak a word of English, giving rise to the name of the EP. “Being the foreign kid in my class meant I always had this need to prove myself or be liked,” he explains. “Music was my way of being able to do that and express myself.” Now aged 21, Marti marries that hyper-sensitivity of his outsider-upbringing with borderless musicality. A feel-good but often in-your-feels mix, his sound traverses elements of alt-pop, R&B, and hip-hop – self-described as ‘wonky pop’.

Today also sees Marti announce a new run of headline dates in February next year, taking in Glasgow, Manchester, Bristol and culminating in a London headline at Camden Assembly on the 26th. A born performer, Marti Perramon has firmly cemented himself as a One to Watch with joyous headline shows, support across Radio 1, inaugural festivals like The Great Escape, plus a breakout tour with global superstar Alessia Cara around Europe earlier this year. He’s currently mid-way through a run of UK support dates with Welsh singer-songwriter Ben Ellis, and next month sees him head back out on tour with Arthur Hill across Europe. Check out the full list of live dates below.

Further previewed by ‘Peace Sign’, the modestly self-titled Boy From Barcelona, Baby is in fact the sound of someone making peace with who he is, and where he’s heading next. “I think people have had enough of everyman pop music. There’s this hunger for honest stories and things that feel real,” he explains, namechecking the likes of Role Model, Audrey Hobert, Remi Wolf and Bruno Mars. “The age of one-size-fits-all pop is over.”’

Petey USA is the master of turning self-deprecation and self-awareness into something absolutely endearing.

On his new song, “Not to Make It About Me,” he fumbles through tough conversations and spirals like it’s his superpower: “was there ever such a time where you and I were on the same page?“

The verses unfold in real time and reign painfully true (“I got quiet as I thought about money”), but whenever the hook returns, everything steadies. The tempo coasts as he repeats the mantra of a man who’s made his peace with overthinking everything.

Rising LA-based singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and creative Skylar Simone connects “WhatsInIt4Me” and “Do U Ever” across her brand-new live performance. Opening with spacey guitar licks and syncopated percussive elements, “WhatsInIt4Me” quickly sets the pace as smooth and sultry tones meld with Skylar’s
tender vocals and seductive storytelling. “Reciprocity all up and in and out these sheets,” she pleads, while recontextualising the 2002 smash hit from Busta Rhymes and Mariah Carey. As the sun-kissed instrumentation fades with atmosphere and intent, Skylar steps behind the drums for a surging solo, bursting with potent, characterful touches that perfectly capture her raw, expressive musicality before ushering in “Do U Ever”. Blossoming with melodic intimacy, the R&B-pop heater emerges through shimmering harmonies and velvet-smooth production, laying groundwork for the young talent to explore complex love and the magnetic push and pull of temptation, where desire and doubt intertwine in a thrall of irresistible tension. Speaking on the performance, Skylar states: “Performing is when I feel most free, it’s where music truly comes to life for me. Bringing ‘WhatsInIt4Me’ and ‘Do U Ever’ to the stage in a way that everyone could see, feel, and connect with was such a fun and unforgettable experience.” She adds on her journey as a drummer: “I started playing when I was around 15 years old, and it actually began as a ‘dare’ from my mom. I was already playing piano and guitar, but I wanted to try something new. She kind of joked that the drums might be too hard to learn, and honestly, that was all the motivation I needed. I took it as a challenge. I started learning with my drummer, Arty, and told him I wanted to play them live at an upcoming show. He taught me an intro to play, and from then on it became my new obsession. I also really hope to see more women getting behind the kit. It’s often seen as a male-dominated instrument, but I think that’s changing and I can’t wait to continue bringing drums to the forefront of my artistry.”

Kaneb Andrews bridges classical training, indie-rock grit, and the classic storytelling of Americana into a sound that feels both grounded and cinematic. With a background that spans conservatory halls, coastal songwriting retreats, and packed clubs across New York, Andrews has pocketed a place as one of indie rock’s sharpest young songwriters.

Born Andrew Kaneb in Wellesley, Massachusetts, he began his musical journey at age seven playing the classical violin. Music became an easy passion from a young age. He went on to study at the New England Conservatory in Boston, performing in its youth program for four years and touring internationally in 2017. By the time he entered Princeton University, Andrews’ foundation in classical music was resolute — but heartbreak would steer him toward songwriting in an unexpected way.

The summer after his freshman year of college, while working alone on Cape Cod, he picked up a guitar for the first time due to grief over a relationship and his first love. What started as a way to process loss quickly grew into a full pursuit. He quickly devoured his father’s favorite records — the catalogs of Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and The Beach Boys — channeling their influence into his earliest tracks. Within a year, he was performing across New York City, making his debut at The Bitter End in 2018 before finding himself at venues across town.

Now based in Brooklyn, Kaneb Andrews performs and records under his inverted name, a nod to the rarity of his surname. His music blends the narrative weight of classic singer-songwriters with modern indie rock’s dynamic energy, often backed by a full band of acoustic guitars and hushed drums. His sonic palette draws comparison to Coldplay, Noah Kahan, Wallows, Hozier, and The 1975.

Opening for acts within the indie Americana space like Texas King, Hush Club, and Copilot, Andrews has toured the East and West Coast, carving his name from location to location to showcase his strong live performance skills for thousands of new fans. Andrews is set to release a series of singles in 2025, beginning with “Midnight Medicine” and culminating in his new EP, False Prophets, this fall.

singer-songwriter Mitch Sanders releases his soaring new EP Saloon via Island Records UK, with lead single ‘Mum’ featuring trip-hop legend and fellow Bristolian Tricky – listen here. Mitch says, “My new single ‘Mum’ collaborated with Tricky is out today. This is the final track on my EP ‘Saloon’ and I couldn’t have wished for a better end to this body of work. ‘Mum’ is an emotional one for Tricky and I  – having come from the same area in Bristol this has made it even more real and close to our hearts…the man’s a genius!”

The EP’s opening track ‘Ellen’ further distills his signature sound; vulnerable, delay-soaked vocals are paired with impassioned lyricism and slide guitar flourishes. The six-track project also includes the brooding single ‘Moth’, which exemplifies Mitch’s soaring vocal power and gritty indie edge; ‘Emotion Kicks’, a bruised, slow-burning anthem; and the expansive first release ‘Heaven Is Ours’.

Emerging from Bristol’s famed music scene, Mitch Sanders is a powerhouse vocalist and cinematic songwriter who blends narrative-driven lyricism with modern British indie textures. Inspired by the likes of The War On Drugs and U2, Mitch crafts music that is both anthemic and deeply personal. First noticed while working as a bricklayer, with word spreading quickly about the “labourer with lungs”, Mitch has built momentum brick by brick through word-of-mouth gigs. His debut EP These Things We Carry saw him collaborate with producer Catherine Marks (boygenius, Foals, Wolf Alice), Declan McKenna, and Flyte. Now, with today’s release of Saloon, Mitch Sanders continues his undeniable ascent; a voice of cinematic scale, stepping firmly into the spotlight.

Best known as singer, guitarist and songwriter with space-rave pioneers HENGE, Matthew C. Whitaker steps into dreamier territory with his new single “Lucid Dreamer”, out now.

A lush, cinematic piece blending sweeping strings, nostalgic crooner melodies and futuristic electronic flourishes, “Lucid Dreamer” is a cosmic love letter to the dream world. Its hypnotic video, directed by acclaimed visual artist Antony Barkworth-Knight and filmed at the Supermassive visual installation in Manchester, brings Whitaker’s song to life in beautiful, ethereal detail.

The single offers a first glimpse of Whitaker’s forthcoming miniature album ‘Songs for the Weary’ — a collection of eight compositions designed to provide comfort and calm. Recorded with Irish producer and string arranger Alan Keary (Shunya), the album blends classical guitar, rich string arrangements, warm instrumentation and subtle electronic touches. With guest contributions from Alabaster DePlume, Rob Turner of GoGo Penguin, and Whitaker’s bandmates in HENGE, it marks his most personal and reflective work to date.

London-based songstress Alysha is back with her captivating new single “Red Wine,” set for release on October 24th.

Built on stripped-back, trip-hop inspired production, Alysha’s latest track finds power in restraint. Minimal beats and atmospheric textures provide the perfect canvas for her rich, distinctive vocals to take centre stage. Exploring themes of jealousy, emotion, and defiance, Alysha delivers a performance steeped in soul and authenticity. With stacked harmonies and lyricism that cuts deep, the rising songstress commands attention as she sings, “Teasing, running in circles around you, your feelings stuck in a time loop, there you go, here’s a taste of your pill.” Hypnotically blending vulnerability and bite.

Opening up about the meaning behind the song, Alysha explains: “Red Wine” was born from the aftermath of a fight with an ex, where jealousy was used as a weapon. Instead of letting it break me down, I flipped the narrative, channelling those emotions into lyrics that carry both defiance and vulnerability. Written in the quiet of

my bedroom and later refined in the studio, the track captures the raw intensity of that moment while transforming it into something powerful and cinematic”

With a commanding presence in front of the camera and a distinctive sonic vision behind the mic, she transforms her influences into immersive, multidimensional worlds. Recently featured on the cover of VOGUE Portugal, Alysha continues to redefine what it means to move fluidly between fashion and music, embodying a creative identity that’s both timeless and forward-thinking.

the brilliant Sophie And The Giants shares her stunning mini-album “00:00” (pronounced “Midnight)” which comes complete with brand new single “Loser” that Sophie declares is “a confession about choosing familiar hell over unfamiliar heaven — and the fight to break free.” The track will be played live across her November Headline Tour starting off in Manchester on the 4th (@ YES) & London on the 5th ( @ The Lower Third.)

Billy Reekie unleashes his anthemic, new single “Miracle” alongside the news of a brand new 8-date tour of Scotland & England, stopping off in London at The Camden Assembly on February 18th where this particular earworm will be played live alongside tracks “Song That I Sing” and “Easier” which have both made made him an outright One To Watch going into 2026.

Tears of Happiness is the creative outlet of singer, lyricist, and frontman Bally Meeda, with long-time collaborator LCamz (Leon) by his side. The project was born from a deeply personal place, during the breakdown of Bally’s relationship and the period of depression and anxiety that followed. “I’d tried to keep things together but it wasn’t meant to be,” he recalls. “So after being introduced to Leon some weeks before, I rang him and asked if I could come and pour my heart out in his vocal booth. Everything has spiralled from there.”

What began as an emotional release quickly grew into something more. Combining Bally’s instinct for raw, storytelling lyrics with Leon’s sharp ear for production and engineering, the pair discovered a sound that balances vulnerability with vibrancy. Tears of Happiness craft emotive electronic pop: songs that tackle mental health and real-life struggles while radiating hope and positivity. For Bally, writing became a lifeline, and that healing energy remains at the heart of every track.

After a short break from releasing music, though never from creating it, the duo return stronger than ever. Much of their collaboration has happened virtually while Leon travelled the world, but when they reunite in the studio, there’s an instinctive connection that turns ideas into songs that feel both immediate and timeless.

London indie five-piece Absolutely Anytime release their highly anticipated debut EP ‘Fall Apart Together’, a five‐track collection brimming with vibrant energy and gritty indie bravado. Spanning playful riffs to more pointed, punchy moments, the EP delivers everything one could want from a quintessentially British indie record.

‘fall apart together’ is available now on your streaming service of choice via APOLLO Distribution.

Lecx Stacy is a psychological, philosophical, and romantic artist whose work blurs the lines between memory, identity, and sound. A first-generation Filipino-American originally from San Diego and now based in Los Angeles, Stacy grew up surrounded by music—karaoke weekends, piano lessons, and early beat-making sessions taught by his older brother. After his brother’s passing, the gear he inherited became his lifeline; by 13 he was selling beats online, and by 18 he began carving out his own voice, turning production into a vehicle for deeply personal storytelling.

Stacy’s new single, “Winter, A Wilted Flower,” distills the core of his forthcoming album: songs written and produced entirely by him during a six-month stretch working long shifts at a behavioral health and psych home on the outskirts of San Diego. Heartbroken and creatively raw, he recorded the track in his parents’ house, capturing moments of life literally bleeding into the music—you can even hear the faint sound of his mother doing laundry in the background. This intimate approach mirrors the song’s lyrics, which meditate on endings and impermanence, with the artist singing, “whispers / they tell me that you’re not the one winter / I waited for you, now you’re gone…”

Singer-songwriter and alt-pop artist Casey Conroy shares her highly anticipated new single, “Long Drive,” available now on all streaming platforms via APOLLO Distribution.

A shimmering and introspective exploration of self-discovery, “Long Drive” captures the quiet defiance of listening to your own voice in a world full of noise. Blending tender lyricism with lush alt-pop production, Conroy delivers a song that’s both cinematic and deeply personal — a portrait of someone learning to choose instinct over expectation.

Written during a period of personal and creative transition, “Long Drive” became a moment of clarity for Conroy: a way of reclaiming trust in herself after years of defining her worth through logic and responsibility. Musically, the track unfolds like a late-night road trip — atmospheric guitars, glowing synths, and soft percussion that build into a sweeping chorus, evoking the sense of open space and forward motion.

“I’ve always been good at figuring out the right thing to do, almost to the point where it feels like part of my identity,” Conroy shares. “But I realized I very rarely stop and ask myself, ‘What do I actually want?’ This song is me trying to flip that — not doing things because they’re the smartest move, but just because they feel good. Not in a toxic or overthought way, but trusting my own voice before it gets drowned out.”

“A lot of times I write these songs about love stories, but more often than not, they’re reflections of what I’m going through internally,” she continues. “In ‘Long Drive,’ I talk about this girl who did something not because it was the ‘right’ thing to do, but because she wanted to. In a world with so many opinions and voices, she made a decision based on what felt good — and that’s something I’m still learning how to do.”

“I’m realizing that coming of age isn’t something that happens once,” Conroy adds. “You keep learning who you are, over and over again. ‘Long Drive’ is part of that process — a moment of choosing to move forward, even if you don’t know exactly where you’re going.”

Artpop visionary Beverly Hell returns with her electrifying new single “Neo,” out now on all major streaming platforms via APOLLO Distribution. The track marks a striking evolution in her sound, a radiant, liberating embrace of pop that channels transformation, movement, and renewal.

“Neo” captures a sense of emergence and rebirth. Over pulsating synths and kinetic beats, Beverly Hell’s distinctive vocals rise with a sense of joy and release, weaving together the emotional and the digital into something undeniably human. Written and produced by Beverly herself, the track represents a conscious step away from heartbreak and alienation. Speaking on the track, Beverly states:

“‘Neo’ is an even further foray into the pop world and I think probably the least genre-blending, most approachable track I have released so far,” Beverly Hell explains. “It’s also the most fun — it’s meant to represent an emergence from a world of heartbreak and exile (leaving the matrix) into the real world, which is fun and open and easy to groove to.”

Rising North London artist, producer, and songwriter Kali Claire releases stunning six track EP How I Feel. Out on the 24th of October.

Opening the EP, “Platonic” sets the tone with a sparse, vocal-driven arrangement that spotlights Kali Claire’s remarkable range and effortless control. Her performance is both poised and intimate, drawing listeners in from the first note. “Love On Credit”

follows as a shimmering R&B-pop statement, equal parts timeless and contemporary. Built on sleek, minimal production, it provides the perfect backdrop for Kali’s signature sultry tone to shine. Her honeyed vocals glide between layered harmonies that add warmth and depth, while lyrically she reflects on the instability of love built on shaky ground. With a balance of strength and vulnerability, she poses the question, “why can you never tell from the start?”, a line that encapsulates the familiar ache of investing in something that won’t last. The title track, “How I Feel”, featuring Moelogo, is rich with emotion and gorgeous harmonies. Moelogo’s smooth, resonant tone beautifully complements Kali’s delicate softness as they sing of a love too strong to conceal or resist, even when fear lingers beneath the surface. “Withdrawal Symptoms” follows as a heartfelt ode to the kind of connection that makes life feel fuller, and the ache that comes with its absence. It’s an elegant nod to classic R&B, showcasing Kali’s expressive phrasing and soulful delivery. Energy rises on “Fever”, featuring Skiifall, where futuristic backing vocals and syncopated percussion create an infectious groove. Kali’s catchy lyricism and rhythmic flow dance effortlessly across the beat, offering a fresh, forward-thinking moment in the tracklist. Closing the EP “Weak” opens with sweeping, cinematic strings that immediately set a reflective tone before UK Garage percussion injects urgency and movement. The interplay of vulnerability and rhythm perfectly frames Kali Claire’s silky, emotive vocals as she explores the tension between distance, ambition, and love. It’s a soulful, dance-ready reflection on missing someone while chasing your dreams, a fitting conclusion to an EP that’s as introspective as it is dynamic.

rising pop sensation Natalie Jane unveils her highly anticipated sophomore album, the world i didn’t want, out now via Island EMI. Natalie’s new album offers a candid look at young adulthood, following her path from New Jersey suburbs to pursuing her dreams in Los Angeles. It combines heartfelt storytelling with energetic 90s Eurodance-inspired production. With her powerful vocals and honest lyrics, Natalie has emerged as a standout voice in pop music, ready to connect with fans worldwide.

the world i didn’t want captures Natalie at a pivotal moment, offering a diary-like reflection on heartbreak, self-discovery, and resilience. Across 13 tracks, Natalie blends high-energy dance beats with sharp pop hooks, combining honest, emotional lyrics with a confident vocal edge. Each song reflects the real, unfiltered experience of young womanhood—raw, relatable, and unapologetically authentic—capturing what it means to grow, love, and find yourself in the digital age.
