Up-and-coming alt-country artist Nico Welsh is set to release his long-awaited debut EP, Lonesome Stranger, on Thursday, September 18th. With a sound steeped in the raw honesty of classic country and the edge of modern Americana, Wales presents himself as a powerful new voice in the alt-country, rock/Americana music genre.

Recorded in Boston, Massachusetts with an all-star band featuring Mountain Grass Unit’s Luke Black and Drury Anderson and Round Trip’s Jake Stevenson, the EP features three original songs that explore themes of heartbreak, resilience, and finding your place. From the haunting opening track “Evergreen” to the driving rhythm of “Colorado Cowgirl,” Welsh’s music blends dusty road storytelling with a contemporary edge reminiscent of influences such as Jason Isbell, Merle Haggard and Charlie Crockett.

“This record is about feeling like an outsider and turning that isolation into something people can relate to and connect with,” Welsh says. “‘Lonesome Stranger’ is my first step towards sharing these stories and finding a place in music.”

A longtime performer in his hometown of Seattle, Washington, Welsh honed his craft playing intimate shows, sharing stages with stalwarts such as award-winning flatpicker Luke Black and progressive jam band guitarist Jake Stevenson. His sharp lyrical style and soulful vocals have already begun to garner attention in the alternative country scene. Wales also hosts weekly country nights at Boston’s beloved local venue The Bebop.

Lonesome Stranger will be available on September 18, 2025 on all streaming platforms including Spotify, YouTube, Apple and all other streaming platforms.

Meral Polat is a Turkish psychedelic outfit led by vocalist and performer Meral Polat. Blending the musical traditions of Anatolia and Mesopotamia with Turkey’s 1970s psychedelic rock revolution (and the ancient Kurdish Dembezi storytelling tradition), the band creates a rich and unique sonic tapestry. Their debut album “Ez Kî Me” received critical acclaim and received support from Jazzwise, MixedWorldMusic, and Songlines Magazine. The band is currently scheduled to release their second album, Meydan, on September 19, 2025 on the Belgian record label WERF. Exploring themes of freedom, feminism, and collective strength, Meydan is deeply rooted in homegrown musical influences, while also expanding into psychedelic territory, giving Meral Porat’s powerful vocals the creative freedom to roam. The album features:
A bold, contemporary reinterpretation of traditional sounds, utilizing evocative synthesizers, stunning vocal harmonies, earthy percussion, soulful keys, crunchy guitars, and incredible contributions from a host of esteemed guest musicians.

dark pop artist rear Today, they release their full album “The Fourth Wall,” which is paired with their visual EP “Reclamation,” marking their boldest work to date.

Together, these projects break down boundaries between performer and audience, weaving confessions, anthems, and story-driven visuals into immersive works that are as vulnerable as they are rebellious.

Throughout its tracks, “The Fourth Wall” dives squarely into themes of mental health, taboo joys, grief, and self-discovery. Songs like “Talk to Someone” wrestle with anxiety and the search for connection, while “Skin on Chrome” and “Misb3hav3” are about sensuality and unabashed desire.

“Dear Unborn” grieves for a life that never came to be, while “Home” supports the project with a rare gentleness and stability. The record features intimate alt-pop ballads and sultry, beat-driven dark R&B. rihanna, spells, two feet, and rufus du sol.

“Four Letter Words” is a sharp, playful cut that combines Carter’s dry wit with her signature lyrical flavor. With its driving rhythm and restless melodic energy, it captures the contradictions at the heart of love, its beauty, absurdity, and instability.

“They say, “Don’t be late,” but the truth is, I’m rarely on time.” Mr. Carter explains. “What follows is a sharp-eyed tale of the push and pull of love. The four-letter word can be anything, but you decide what it is. A wide-eyed person who knows the turmoil of caring for someone who drives you over the edge. Irony wrapped in melody, humor folded into heartbreak, all carried by a beat that refuses to stand still.”

Singles follow “June Groom”from Carter’s atmospheric first offering. Bye bye Jackiewhich featured stormy guitar contributions from. Lee Keenan (IDLES) And it was praised for its raw honesty and emotional immediacy. Together, these two tracks set the tone for an album that balances heartbreak and humor, intimacy and intensity.

Phantom Pink is the haunting and tender moniker of Los Angeles-based artist Brayton Walls. His dark, cinematic art-rock captures the beauty in emotional turmoil. Blending jagged textures and dreamy melodies, Phantom Pink’s sound is both otherworldly and approachable. Walls, a Las Vegas native, began writing songs at age 10 as a way to work through growing pains and identity. After years of shaping their voice in the West Coast DIY scene, Phantom Pink has emerged with a uniquely raw and beautiful sound. His debut EP, A Good Color On You, plays like a series of unsettling vignettes, fragmented and teetering on the edge of intelligibility, conveyed by an unreliable narrator. The record also serves as a love letter to the moody soundscapes of Portland, Oregon and the Pacific Northwest, where it was written. A Good Color On You captures a unique emotional climate: foggy, electric, and about to go into full force, through sharp, confessional lyrics, a glitched-out recording of Crow, and a late-night party with friends.

Her New Knife is an alternative band based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Group members include Edgar Atencio (guitar and vocals), Ben Kachler (guitar), Carolina Schooley (bass), and Elijah Ford (drums). The band’s recent EP, Chrome is a lullaby, Capturing a raw, vulnerable charm, it offers shoegaze and post-punk fans a deep connection to their unique sound. Their live performance is a mesmerizing experience, with the scraping of guitars and relentless, mechanical drums creating an atmosphere both intense and fleeting. Each show is a diagonal journey, drawing the audience into fleeting, intimate moments.
