Hit Point Press has announced the release of Humblewood: Beyond the canopyIt is an independent sequel to the setting of the Humblewood campaign. This allows players to explore the world inhabited by animals and birdfolks rather than standard fantasy races. Humblewood: Beyond the canopy, you’ll find the continent of Westen past the edge of the forest through a lush environmental guide and glove trotting adventure. Compatible with 5E (2014 Rules) and compatible with the art of talented artists in the first book, as well as artists who have been renewed in the world of Everden. This book, like all Hitpoint Press Publications, is written without AI.
Discover frozen mysteries with the spread of crystals, ride powerful insects across the plains of Firnveldt, find warm welcome in Warren from Tempests rocking Stormcrags, and feel the lush tangles and the pulsation of nature.
This 250+ page sourcebook doesn’t require you to play the settings from the original Humblewood campaign, but veteran Humblewood players can easily continue their adventures from the first book. Humblewood: Beyond canopy, compatible with 5E (2014) core rules that support 5E+ (2024) core rules.
Inside, we expanded player options such as a setting guide to the Westen continent with four new regions, as well as a new religious section with new gods and folk tales, new races, subclasses, backgrounds, spells, and original adventures that acquire characters from level 5 to level 8 to level 8.

New Class: Gadgets
A new take on keitation and a flexible system for gadget crafting. It also includes three subclases for gadgets. Cultivators are engineers who shape plants into useful shapes and build exactly what they need in a pinch, fizas who blur the boundaries between science and magic.

- Kaplan is divided into two castes, a highly social tessara and a separate yanthan, like a goat.

- Mastel
- Unusual people based on the wilderness masrids (weasels, ferrets, minks, wolverines, badgers) are divided into powerful bright fans and elegant long distances.

- Charming and vibrant feathered parrot forks with talent for imitation get you in trouble when you’re bored

Brand new Humblewood adventure
The adventures in the first book focus on Humblewood itself, but this new adventure takes you on wild pursuits throughout the Westen continent. Following the appearance of the fire side in Humblewood, adventure now has to uncover the mystery of the water side and what happened to it. Klaythusar, an ancient evil, is released. As he tries to complete his grand and awful plan of using the water side, he causes a horrific storm of froze and abuse Wesden.
The Level 5-8 adventure links to the adventure story from the setting of the Humblewood Campaign, but you can play that adventure without playing it first. It continues with the environmental themes and moral complexities explored in the first Humblewood book.
