Alternatively, you can search for Red Dead Redemption Netflix in the Apple App Store or Android Play Store and pre-register from there. Pre-register to automatically download Red Dead Redemption when it releases on December 2nd. After installing RDR on your phone, simply open the game and sign in with the same Netflix account you use to stream. Rockstar says the mobile version of Red Dead Redemption will “include mobile-friendly control options,” but that’s just a fancy way of saying it will include on-screen touch controls.
Separately from the mobile version, Rockstar is delivering a proper current-gen upgrade on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, with updates and improvements that bring Red Dead Redemption up to modern standards. Rockstar Games, via blogsays, “You can expect a smooth 60 frames per second experience, enhanced image quality, HDR support, and up to 4K resolution.” The game has also been updated for Switch 2, with the developer “taking full advantage of this new hardware with support for DLSS, HDR, mouse controls, and the same smooth 60 frames per second gameplay at high resolution.”
There’s also a nice little bonus for players who already own the game on older hardware. If you have the digital backward compatible version of Red Dead Redemption on PS4, Nintendo Switch, or Xbox One, you can upgrade to the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch 2 editions at no additional cost. Additionally, PS4 players will be able to carry over their existing saves, and those moving to Switch 2 will be able to continue directly from their previous Switch saves. sweet!
