New Jersey quartet high. We have released a new single, ‘catcher’excerpted from the following EP come back down. Check it out below.
“I joined the band with the building chords and bass line for this song, and I personally have a great love for this music,” bassist Bridget Bakey explained in a statement. “Well then, Christian. [Castan] He wrote lyrics on top of it that meant a lot to him. Castan added, “‘The Catcher’ explores the depths of grief and the unyielding hope that connects us to those we have lost.”
The song’s accompanying video was shot by Bakey’s brother Max and edited by Shower Curtain’s Victoria Winter. “I felt like I should make a music video because I’m well aware of the source of the lyrics, but it still doesn’t belong to me,” Bakey said. “I used this boat as a metaphor for moving through grief and trying to find peace. The vast lake and the changing seasons are part of that. I wanted to capture the combination of pain and peace in this song. I tried to express it.”
