What will happen to HBO’s A? knight of the seven kingdoms About?

As already pointed out, HBO’s plot is knight of the seven kingdoms It chronicles the exploits of Egg, an enthusiastic young squire, and Sir Duncan the Tall, a hedge knight. The series, based on George R.R. Martin’s novella “Dunk and Egg,” is set 72 years after “House of the Dragon” and 100 years before “Game of Thrones.” The official logline for the series reads:

“A century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes roam Westeros…the young, naive but brave knight Ser Duncan and his diminutive squire Egg, descended from the Targaryen family. Great destinies, powerful enemies, and dangerous feats all await in these unlikely and unparalleled tales, set in a time when the Iron Throne still holds and the memory of the last dragon has yet to fade from living memory.”

George R.R. Martin and showrunner Ira Parker have hinted that the series will focus on tournaments and the down-to-earth field life of the knights, rather than the large-scale battles of later shows. Martin had long wanted to build a story around a complete medieval tournament, and challenged the show’s writing team to come up with “the best jousting sequence ever put to film”, which ultimately shaped the tone of the entire series.

Speaking a bit about the upcoming show during a panel at New York Comic Con, Martin said, “I always love the medieval tournaments in other pictures. On Game of Thrones, there were some tournaments, but they were in the background but not the center of it.” “I wanted to set something up during the tournament. I challenged them to do the best jousting scene ever done in a movie. My favorite was 1952’s Ivanhoe.”

HBO’s head of drama Francesca Orsi also teased the film’s action: knight of the seven kingdoms It’s similar to what we saw on the GOT show. talk to THR“We are producing a Game of Thrones spin-off called ‘Knights of the Seven Kingdoms’ for less than $10 million per episode,” Orsi said. [which is peanuts] “Compare that to the cost of an episode of Game of Thrones or House of the Dragon.” “And it’s a lesson to us that we need to challenge this budget, because the fight sequences that the directors achieved are in line with those on Game of Thrones as a whole, and at a fraction of the price.”

And don’t expect a dragon to appear knight of the seven kingdomsas the show’s story is set 72 years in the future. dragon house And 100 years ago game of thronesthat is, a time when the Targaryens no longer had dragons.

Is there a trailer for HBO knight of the seven kingdoms?

yes there is a trailer knight of the seven kingdomsand it gives a clear sense of the kind of story the show is telling. The trailer opens with a creepy shot of a knight in armor ready for battle, visible through the narrow visor of one very anxious knight. He then moved on to Balon Targaryen, asking the tall Lord Duncan, who had just been knighted after his master’s death, how good he really was. Duncan replies, “I’ll see,” and quickly walks into the wrong door. That says a lot about the kind of vibe this show is leaning towards.

Rather than following the ruthless lords vying for the Iron Throne, the show focuses on a rough-and-tumble hedge knight trying to make a name for himself. Nevertheless, he finds an ally in Egg, who offers to become his squire because “every knight needs a squire” and Duncan seems to need a squire “one more than most knights.”

The trailer also shows Duncan aiming to win a major tournament in hopes of eventually being recruited into a powerful house. However, things change completely when he faces Prince Aerion Targaryen, and everyone around him advises him to run away, as the outcome will be dark either way. However, Duncan ultimately chooses to stay and fight. The trailer ends with him facing Prince Aerion Targaryen and calling out to the crowd, “Have the noble houses of Westeros abandoned their honor? Are there no true knights among you?”, only to be met with silence. “Was that handled badly?” Claffy’s character, Sir Duncan the Tall, asks at the end. Well, you’ll soon find out.
