It is the inevitable truth of the way we grew up and the communities surrounding us in the form of our youth who became us. We tell more frequently stories about people who have been freed from these social constraints, especially in the wake of the events of the Earth’s crushing. When your entire world is shaken and faced with a question you didn’t expect to ask, you can choose to close your eyes or face it straight up.
“That constant process of change is kind of universal […] You’ll get out of something you’ve been taught for the rest of your life. It is always the theme you see in all different cultures. ”
– Aman HK
Qismat It’s a groundbreaking real play featuring multiple languages, a celebration of culture and a shared love for telling stories. This is a leap in innovation in real plays and how they are freed from the present era, with multiple personal journeys telling a bigger story in contrast to the character’s party. An additional layer of language transports you to culture in ways other real plays don’t. Presented by creative producer and editor Amaan HK. system
Uniquely customized for just two players, the game offers plenty of intimate role-playing possibilities. Taking a specific action depends on the story trigger. For example, if a player wants to get information about NPC (non-player character) plans, they need to communicate something intimate. If you deal a blow to an enemy, the story situation can increase your chances of success over character sheet modifiers. This system is perfect for a fierce personal journey of powerful beings.
The setting of the divinity of the universe
Four planets and four stars. There, four gods decided to build a house. Each planet has its own role in raising and creating life. To create life, the planets were sacrificed. It was a part of myself who had the power to destroy the very life that was sacrificed.
The first planet is called Kirona, or Cradle Toy. This domain belongs to the goddess Kamsa, whose sacrifices produced stars that were constantly consumed. This planet is the place of creation where humans live. Our first episode takes place on this planet.
As Kara crosses the capital, Aman introduces his brother gods and temples belonging to its champion.
Raaz, or Secret, is a mystery to Kala, but the champions we meet there are kind. The god of Raaz is Faris, or Knight. The opening suggests that this may be a dream planet.
Baagh or Garden champions offer little and have a cold attitude. Baagh belongs to Khwahish or Desire. This planet is considered a paradise where beauty is important. The second episode features this planet featuring Ronce (She/Hhe). Marie Paul (her/her).
The last temple we pass by is Dozakh, or hell. So we introduce you to the polite champion. The planet belongs to Hannan, or Lallona, and is where the worst person took their lives.
I’ll start from the end
Sometimes catastrophes are not warned. It just happens, and we are left to clean up the shards. The first Aman of the Four Gods (the term for the system of Gamemaster or GM) opens the series with the death of Kamsa, the goddess of creation and the star of the planet Kirona (cradle toy).
We will be featured in Champion Champion Kara. Kamsa blinks and witnesses the death of the goddess. The exterior of the kara is the exterior of an Indian woman decorated with red and gold decorated with star symbols. Her ornaments celebrate her position and highlight her as the chosen one of the goddess.
Shortly after she hears the cry of the goddess in her heart, Kara is summoned to the temple. We can get a glimpse into what this planet looks like as Aman leads us through the capital of Kirona. There is no violent war. The only way to die is for Kahamsa, and no one gets hungry. People are seeking guidance from Kara, not just because of her position, but also because of her love for her. A kind of love that can cultivate jealousy and malice.
A ruthless villain
Kara finally arrives at a temple dedicated to Kamsa, where she is introduced to Guruhidha. He talks to people who are scared and confused in the temple. He is said to be an older man with an aura of the sun. He is a side-fict of power that he humiliates as a gift from the Kamesa. The price of peace and harmony on this planet is blood-soaked, but the rewards are too great and we find ourselves left unquestionable.
team
Kara (girlfriend) – ASIS (She/Her) – Kara is given the title of a world trophy, tasked with telling people about Kamsa. Kara is presented as a leader and someone who is looking for guidance. Maybe it’s because it’s in my heart, but Kara reminded me of how people love Superman. We meet Kara’s family and a very adorable elephant named Sheldil, or Lionheart.
Talking to Aman about Episode 1, he provided more about the motivations of ASIS behind Kara’s story. “In some aspects of Indian culture and Indian religious stance, people usually worship the feminine aspect of humanity and place it on a pedestal and worship it. […] I’m just talking on her behalf as she’s talking about it…it was about who she is, not people who don’t love her, but people who are looking at her, not who she actually is. ”
God – Amaan HK (He/He) – As a “God”, Aman does not move away from the truly cruel and ruthless villain. So does the refreshing, sympathetic villains. Despite my language barrier, Aman has a great way of narration. Aman also takes on the big task of editing, producing and storyboarding the entire show. “I was known as a Quick Storyboard artist. Who is putting out such frames? -AMAAN HK. The storyboard is paired with short video clips that help smooth editing and bring a unique style to the production.
Future Episodes:
“Other people like Apollo, Jack, Mary Paul, […] They also have their different approaches. Whether they are rebelling against parent-child relationships, whether they are overcoming coronavirus or making their place their place, whether they are essentially controlled by the colony. ” -AMAAN HK
- Episode 2In French, she plays it Marie Paul (her/her), and God plays Arsen (He/he).
- Episodes 3 and 5 He returns as ASIS as Kala and as God as Amaan HK.
- Episode 4in Spanish, Jose (he/he) plays Apollo (he/them), and God plays Thomas (He/he).
- Episode 6In Mandarin, played by Min Lee (he/he) Jack (He/them) and the God played by God Specter (He/them).
- Episode 7 and 8 The cast concludes the series that has not yet been announced.
Qismat is a highly ambitious project that comes with many challenges. Amaan mentioned the set fold with scheduling, technical set folds, and obvious obstacles to editing and captioning in four different languages. I praise the team for being patience all to provide their stories. Actual plays rarely have the opportunity to tell personal stories of self-exploration that reach global audiences.
