Aurelius Basidio is a warm and friendly native who loves nothing more than getting his hands dirty to create beautiful new life. (Don’t think about the gutter, we’re talking about plants). His kind moss-green eyes, imposing stature, well-groomed gray beard, cheerful smile, and penchant for helping others make him an object of affection wherever he goes. In the Steltro Valley, any farmer, milkman or adventurer can choose what he likes, but he is content to be alone with his thoughts and stare at his garden.
His connection to the land he works is beyond passion, and there is magic flowing between him and the plants he grows. What motivates him is not the garden’s beauty, but rather its potential to help others. While his three older brothers have sought fame and fortune in far-flung corners of the continent, Aurelius is content with his small life as long as he can protect those he cares about. And although he doesn’t share romantic feelings with most of the townspeople, he still cares for all of them. The only attraction to adventure he feels emanates from the distant Geldwood. It’s supposed to be a treasure trove of new and useful plants, but it also holds strange and unknown powers…
