Call of Duty: Black Ops 7’s main campaign wasn’t what many expected, but that doesn’t stop Activision from pumping out new content. The publisher is currently focusing on its ever-popular multiplayer mode in an update it’s billing as the “biggest Season 01 ever.” it rolls out The COD Black Ops 7 Season 1 roadmap includes new (and returning) maps, modes, loadout additions, cross-mode progression updates, a new Zombies chapter, and Warzone’s Haven’s Hollow Resurgence map. If you’re wondering when Black Ops 7 Season 1 will be released, or what you can expect from the battle pass and new content, here’s everything you need to know.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 1: Release Date
Black Ops 7 Season 1 launches on December 4th and is available to those who already own the game or via Xbox Game Pass, so you won’t have to wait long to check out all the new content coming. According to Call of Duty’s official X pageWarzone will also move into the Black Ops 7 era on the same day, with both titles having the same seasonal release date.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 1: New multiplayer maps and modes
Black Ops 7 Season 1 kicks off with eight multiplayer maps, plus new arenas and revived classics to be released throughout the season. Here are all the maps coming to Black Ops 7 Season 1.

The upcoming season will also bring a variety of modes, including the return of the fan-favorite casual mode at launch, a new objective mode arriving mid-season, and a number of holiday-themed LTMs later. Classic games like Prop Hunt and Gun Game return, and new objective-focused modes called Takeover and CODMAS LTM also arrive later. Activision has now confirmed the following modes for Black Ops Season 1:

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 1: Weapons and Attachments
A new season means more gear to play with, and Black Ops Season 1 adds a full lineup of weapons, transformations, attachments and upgrades to the mix. Seven weapons are immediately available including an SMG, AR, LMG, sniper, melee option, and a new special weapon called the NX Ravager. Below are all the new Black Ops Season 1 weapons you can get.

In addition to that, the new season also introduces a new set of weapon conversions and attachments, including options such as the Akita Scorchlink Akimbo Setup, Redwell Shade-X Suppressor, CODA 9 Adaptive Discharge Mod, M8A1 Autostrike-X8 Conversion, AK-27 Battle-Scar Conversion, and MPC-25 Contrabloom Laser.
During the launch of Black Ops Season 7, players will also have the chance to unlock a new Scorestreak called Deadeye Drone through weekly challenges. This powerful remotely piloted air unit is equipped with a small magazine sniper rifle and, once activated, can scout from above and kill marked operators, as well as be equipped with upgrades such as an extended magazine and a grenade mod for airburst grenades.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Season 1: Zombies
Black Ops 7’s Zombies mode is also getting a ton of new content in Season 1. The headliner will be Astra Malorum, a round-based map set within a Drifting Observatory near Saturn, which will be available at launch. According to Activision, “The heroes go on a perilous journey in search of another shadow puppeteer. Their path takes them through 20 A torn relic from the beginning of the century leads them to a mysterious observatory that now floats silently within Saturn’s shimmering rings. Once a beacon of human curiosity and discovery, the observatory has become a ghostly monument suspended in time, its rusted domes and broken telescopes endlessly monitoring the swirling swathes of the planet, waiting for the next steps in their quest.”
Chase down another Shadowsmith, take on the new Oscar Elite robots lurking in the halls, and experiment with the LGM-1 Wonder Weapon and its swarming saucer projectiles. The main quest will be live from day one and will come with new calling cards, XP rewards, and new Classified Operator skins for completing runs.
Black Ops 7 Season 1 takes zombies even further with the Exit 115 Survival map. This is a fight-to-the-last scenario set in the isolated Reba’s Diner location in Ashes of the Damned. Directed mode will also return, with Ash of the Damned’s guided main quest running at launch and Astra Malorum later in the season.
Considering the holiday season is just around the corner, holiday content will also play a big role this season. Astra Malorum adds a festive Jingle Hells variant with snowballs, frigid weather, holiday presents, barrel fire warmth zones, and Naughty or Nice Stocking power-ups that shower players with loot or spawn hordes of Ravagers. List Keeper’s Challenge will be Astra Malorum’s second holiday LTM, replacing the main quest with a series of escalating objectives told to you by a mysterious being.
If that wasn’t enough, Warzone will be fully integrated into the Black Ops 7 framework for Season 1, introducing a series of gameplay updates, a new Resurgence map, new POIs, and a Holiday LTM. On the map side, players can drop into Haven’s Hollow, a brand new Resurgence map that drops players into a remote Appalachian town that “looks like it came straight out of another era.” In the studio’s words, “Some of Heaven’s Hollow’s picturesque settlements may look familiar, but there are plenty of new areas to explore. They’re also the setting for fast-paced, frenetic Resurgence gameplay.”
