In a note accompanying the song’s press release, Teitelbaum said:
It feels impossible to think about anything else other than the fires in Los Angeles right now. The town where I lived for 10 years is on fire, and the magnitude of the loss is immeasurable. In a way, it feels silly to talk about music, but I also think that the essence of art is that music exists as a small respite for the mind, even if only for a moment, in the context of pain.
Please stay safe. Thank you for letting me share this. 12 songs about finding love, family, and friendship in all the right and wrong places. Released on May 2nd

Teitelbaum issued the following statement regarding T&A: tattoo you “In the song ‘Little T&A,’ he says ‘tits and butts’ at one point in the song, so I borrow that from him,” Teitelbaum explained in a statement. “I think in music it’s easy to see things as more sexual or more romantic, but I wanted this to be both. I think of this song as a love story.” But while it may not be a fairytale love story, we wanted it to feel like a really narrative song, where one thing leads to another and then ends up in an unexpected place. I don’t usually write like that, but I wanted a song like that.
When asked for a photo The title is taken from Mary Oliver’s 1986 poem “Dogfish.” “There’s a part in the poem that says, ‘I don’t have to tell you everything I’ve been through.’ It’s just another story of someone trying to survive,” the singer-songwriter added. “What I love about songs is that they show snapshots of people and relationships. Sometimes a glimpse of a story is just as important as trying to capture the whole thing. Write it all down. Sometimes it’s even truer to the big picture than trying to do that.”
