The evening began at 1pm with a lively mercado curated by Becky G herself, transforming Market Street into a lively market celebrating local entrepreneurship and cultural pride. Attendees enjoyed a variety of vendors, including Fort Unit, Icy Gemz, Michi Chuy, Breath By Sal, and more, reflecting Becky’s unwavering commitment to uplifting small businesses and honoring her roots.

Miracle Theater owner Mariana Webber Smith expressed her pride in hosting the event, saying, “As an independent, Latinx-owned theater on Market Street, we are proud to support artists and cultural events that serve the South Los Angeles community. Partnering with Becky G. to bring this event to The Miracle highlights what is so special about Inglewood.”

The premiere featured a star-studded lineup including Wilmer Valderrama, Will.i.am, Chiquis Rivera, Dolores Huerta, and Xochitl Gomez, as well as prominent local figures and political leaders, including Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts Jr. and City Council members. The presence of community leaders emphasized the event’s focus on celebrating Inglewood’s rich cultural fabric.

Before the screening, Becky G took the stage and spoke heartfelt words about her roots and the significance of holding the premiere in her hometown. “There was never any question for me whether this premiere would take place here,” she said. “My pride in where I come from couldn’t be more real.
