Art Basel Paris has successfully concluded its second exhibition. Grand Palaisfurther deepening the connection with the city’s heritage and interdisciplinary spirit. Bringing together 206 major international galleries from 41 countries and territories, including 65 operating spaces in France, the show drew an enthusiastic response from galleries, collectors and visitors around the world, with total attendance on VIP and public days exceeding 73,000.
Exhibitors reported strong sales across all market sectors, with outstanding works by Gerhard Richter, Amadeo Modigliani, Julie Mehretu and Leiko Ikemura finding enthusiastic buyers. The fair had notable success with emerging talents such as Yu Nishimura and Ozgür Kal, as well as the rediscovery of Marie Blackmond and Lee Sinja. This is great evidence of the depth of the gallery program on display.
In other news, Art Basel announces the appointment of Karim Krippa Krippa will take over his role as Art Basel Paris Director from November 1, 2025. Clippa will work closely with participating galleries, collectors, public and private partners, including the Ministry of Culture, the Grand Palais Museum and the City of Paris, to solidify its position as one of Europe’s most dynamic modern and contemporary art platforms and lead the Paris show into its next chapter.
