When a person dies, the soul continues to live. Angels speak more of death in terms of ultimate awakening, not the sad or horrifying thing lurking in the shadows…
When connecting with those who have passed away, it is important to note that we will bring the vibrations of physical life into the spiritual world until they are specifically addressed and corrected. Those who were often angry and annoyed when they were alive, or who died of illness, have this energy within the signature of vibrational energy until they are healed during the spiritual period.
This does not mean you should not notice their presence or hear the messages they have for you, but that means you need to set boundaries. Do not put the spirit of the deceased into your energy field (as if safe with guides and angels of light) this can actually lower your vibrations.
Some spirits once were physical, but still died while obsessed with people, possessions and those they feared. When this happens, they exist between the physical and mental realms, and their very existence can be dense and feel uncomfortable as they are not venting your energy or reconnecting with the light of God. These earthly bound spirits gain energy from the physical realm by consciously or unconsciously ejecting their livelihoods rather than directly linking to sources.
Instead of the source (or if you love someone you need to help cross), a simple solution for an earthly bound spirit, ghost, or attachment that is about to get energy from you is to seek protection from the Archangel Michael, helping Archangel Azrael, and Jesus to cross into the light. Call the angels, speak directly to the earthly bound spirit, and say, “Look up and release the light.”
As it is covered, your ancestors and spiritual loved ones may reach out to you to get in touch. Spirit does this because they want to check in. Let you know that you are loved and that they are safe and well. Sometimes your deceased loved one has the right guidance you can provide to you to overcome challenges and advance your personal life journey.
If you feel that you are feeling, or that your loved one may be trying to reach out to get your attention, then bringing contact like this takes a lot of energy and focuses on their side, so that’s likely a reason.
Signs from the spirit are mostly subtle. Because your loved ones are now 100% in the spiritual realm, they do not need language (the tool in the 3D plane), so their messages may be transmitted energetically by emotions, impressions, signs, and images.
It will help you decipher whether what you are experiencing is an attempt from your loved one.
The most common signs from spirits are:
1. dream
Dreamspace is one of the most common ways spirits come into contact with. When you dream, you are naturally more open to the spiritual realm, making it easier for your loved ones to reach you, connect and interact with you. Pay attention to the additional symbols, themes, and emotions that exist in your dreams to get the idea of the message your loved one is trying to convey. I have been contacted by my grandparents several times through my dreams. Every time I woke up excitedly and was inspired by loving, meaningful dream connections.

2. Spirit Sign
Spirit can send any signs that are more obvious than other kinds of signs, and can warn us of their presence. Are you looking at your grandmother’s favorite flowers everywhere, or do you see numbers and symbols that remind you of your loved one? This may warn you of their presence. The strange action of animals, birds, or butterflies, or appearances at a considerable time can also be a sign from the spirit.
3. Electrical interference
Spirit can trigger and make the phone ring (and there’s no one there), or cause radio, television, lights to turn on, off, or flicker without any other explanation. It’s one thing to turn off your TV mysteriously, but combining it with the strong feeling that your loved one is nearby is a great sign that this is a sign from the mind. My grandmother loves this way of contact and has many spirits.
4. A subtle and mental feeling
Your mental and intuitive sense is itself and combined with any of the above signs is a great way to experience the existence of the spirit and examine the signs you are experiencing.
It’s one thing to see mom’s favorite numbers, but what you sense and know that she’s with you as you do is that you can know that what you’re going through is real. Smells are a particularly common way for spirit to warn us of their presence, something I have experienced many times. I received a spiritual impression and feeling of his support and approval, so if you remember finding the scent of my grandfather’s cologne… will your loved one smoke and you continue to smell the smoke without identifying the sauce? The scent is often used by spirits as a way to remind us that they love us and that their spirits will continue to live.
These are the top signs of spirit I received, but your loved ones may reach out to you in a different way. By being aware of the present moment and paying attention to your subtle senses, you can see and verify whether what you are experiencing is actually a sign from the mind, or whether your deceased loved one is around.
