Spread for reading Angel Cards and Oracle Cards

One of the important questions you need to ask yourself about completing an Oracle Card reading is simply “How many cards am I drawing?”

So essentially, Oracle Card spreads simply refer to the number of cards you draw for reading and the patterns you lay out them.

Really, there is no right or wrong way to draw a card to read an angel card. Also, there is no specific number of cards needed for a clear reading. Respect your intuition and draw as many cards as you feel inspired.

That being said, here is the basic angel card reading spread I want to use.

Try these. Or use the way or method that makes you feel comfortable. You can also use your intuition to create your own spread. Of course, follow the guidance you received from the Angel!

Pay close attention to cards that appear to pop out of your deck. And have fun knowing you are supported and guided by your angels!

When drawing inverted cards, or in other words, in most Oracle and Angel card decks, it doesn’t mean the opposite of the case with Tarot, but know that in most Oracle and Angel card decks, reverse angel cards or Oracle cards are usually just signs of a strong message.

Four Oracle Cards spread out to enhance your angel measurements:

1 card reading

One card’s measurements work well to gain insights according to the question. You can also do it every day for more general guidance on energetic predictions or to receive feedback from angels on how to maximize your energy for the day.

3 card measurements

A 3-card reading spread is a great way to look into a particular situation and find detailed answers and understanding of difficult questions. Depending on your question, there are several variations on the 3 card measurements.

The first is past/present/future reading, where the first card to draw is placed on the left, indicating past energy that affects the situation. Next to this card, you draw a second card representing the energy of the present moment, and the third card, at the end, reveals potential future consequences regarding the situation you asked about whether to follow the guidance currently available.

When reading past/present/future, know that actual time frames can vary significantly. This is an effective way to adjust to energy patterns, as it is always happening in the realm of spirit, but remember, for example, future cards may be referring to the year from now or tomorrow. Respect your instincts about card interpretation and time frames.

A variation of the readings of three cards that operate completely independent of time is reading situation/challenges/guidance. In this angel card reading spread, the first card you draw (located on the left) represents the energy surrounding the question or situation you are looking for. The second card tells you your current challenges regarding your questions, while the final third card (placed on the right) reveals guidance from the angels regarding your questions and situations.

Another three card reading spread variation is perfect for your relationship…

For this, the first card is related to you and your energy. The second card relates to the other people and how they feel, what they want from the relationship, and provides insight into their energy. The third card is about your relationship. You may look at where the relationship is, where it is heading, and reveal what is missing, and what can improve the harmony of the relationship.

Of course, there are plenty of additional variations that can be used to read three cards. I’ll cover this in detail soon. A simple example is if you have three different options, draw a card on each one. You can also draw three cards for insight into your mind, body and mental state…

5 card readings

Five card readings have been built into three card situations/challenge/guidance readings to provide additional insights.

Card 1: situation. This card represents the situation and general themes or energy surrounding your question or situation.

Card 2: Challenge. This card talks about current or future challenges you may be facing.

Card 3: guidance. This card gives you insight into the guidance surrounding your situation and reveals external help you may receive.

Card 4: concentration. This card reveals what you can focus on in order to reach your desired outcome. It could also represent a positive intent that will help you move forward.

Card 5: result. This card reveals potential consequences related to your question when you act on the angel-like guidance you receive.

You can also use the above card meanings to complete reading of two or four cards. Or check out the slight variations of the five card spreads in the image above.

Celtic Cross Spread

Celtic Cross Spread is the most common card spread used for tarot cards. It can be used to answer any type of question, or can be used as is or slightly modified for use with Angel Cards and Oracle Cards.

The Celtic Cross is a 10 card spread… This is laid out as shown here:

You can also draw only the first six cards for a small variation in this comprehensive reading.

Card 1: Current situation. The meaning of this card is not only about the situation, but also about the person’s state of mind and their perception of what is happening in their own life, as well as the core of the problem at hand.

Card 2: Issues that affect the situation.

Card 3: The basis of situations that include subconscious influences.

Card 4: How the past relates to the situation.

Card 5: Current energy and impacts, including goals and ideas.

Card 6: What the near future brings.

Card 7: Your power in a situation and how you influence the situation.

Card 8: This card is about the environment, external influences, and how other people are affecting the situation.

Card 9: This card shows you what you need to know. It may explain your hopes and fears regarding the outcome of the situation.

Card 10:Final result.

Ten cards are just more than enough for deep insight into the situation. Instead of drawing more cards, look into the cards you have already drawn.

The more you use your cards, the more you will be able to see how they are connected and what deeper meanings are revealed.
