Navaratri & Celebrating the Divine Mother Within Us All

This morning I am inspired to share with you about the sacred celebration that begins today.

What is Navaratori?

Starting today, millions of people around the world will be celebrating Navaratori, a nine-day festival dedicated to honoring the mother of God in many ways.

The celebration has Hindu roots, but its essence speaks to the universal truth that many of us call to embrace.

Traveling in India

Recently I was traveling to India, where I was deeply moved by the rich and living presence of God’s woman.

Unlike many Western traditions where female gods are hidden or diminished, in India, goddesses are vividly celebrated in everyday life, such as homes, temples, businesses, and hearts.

God’s mother among us all

Navaratri reminds us that God’s mother energy exists in each of us.

She is the creative power that makes all life exist, the nurturing presence that supports us, and the transformational power that guides our evolution.

Simple habits to honor the Mother of God

If you feel called to respect this special time, here’s a simple exercise.

Every morning, the next nine mornings, light a candle and spend a few quiet moments connecting with your heart.

Invite us to awaken within you the quality of Mother God’s upbringing, protection and transformation.

You can recognize and celebrate the divinity that has always lived within you.

Blessings of Navaratri

May the intense compassion of the Mother of God resolve obstacles, activate abundance, and fill your life with love as we celebrate these nine sacred days.

Wait for her to be recognized and expressed as she reminds you of the divinity that has always lived in your heart.

We are not separated from God. We are an expression of that.

The same creative power that created the stars flows through your veins.

The same wisdom that regulates the universe exists in your mind.

I’d love to hear if this resonates with you. How do you experience the divine energy of your mother in your life?

Are you more prepared?
