I Found the Secret of Abundance …

Today, I’m excited to share with you something truly beautiful and profound that I discovered while hiking Japan’s sacred Mt. Inari.

I learned that in Shinto philosophy, or the “way of the gods,” Inari is worshiped as the god of rice, abundance, abundance, success in business, and prosperity.

Mt. Inari and Fushimi Inari Taisha are not only physical places, but also profound spiritual places, considered to be the sacred abode of the god Inari.

The approach to the top of Mt. Inari through the famous Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine is lined with 10,000 bright vermilion torii gates, symbolizing the transition from the mundane world to the sacred realm of mountaintop Inari.

As I climbed the stairs up the mountain and passed through gates one after another, I noticed Japanese letters decorated on the gates.

We stopped to translate…

On the back of each gate is a dedication, inscribed with the name of the donor, symbolizing a prayer or a wish for good luck.

However, the writing in front of the gate was simpler…

Two characters:

Services and Permits.

My husband Miles and I were so excited when we realized this was what was written on each gate.

Services and permissions Open the path to the mountains of abundance!

You still have to take steps…

Make an effort, take action, climb the stairs…

But the gate is open to us.

I realized that these are the keys that open the door to individual abundance.

service — to give of oneself freely and willingly to others.

“You can get everything you want in life just by helping others get what they want.” – Zig Ziglar

allow — Open your heart to receive the infinite gifts of the universe.

“Those whose lives flow freely know that they do not need other forces.” – Lao Tzu

It took about three hours to climb to the top of Mt. Inari, but many people turned back before reaching the top and appeared to be struggling.

This is also a reflection of my life’s journey.

The path to riches is not always easy.

It takes perseverance, faith, and the will to keep moving forward, even if the climb seems steep.

But here’s a beautiful truth. Abundance is available to all who choose to walk this path.

Every step you take in service, every time you allow yourself to receive, you move closer to the top and to the attainment of what you seek.

Remember that you are co-creating your reality.

The torii of service and permission is always open and you are invited to step inside. Do you accept the invitation? Do you want to climb?

Ask yourself this question as you go about your day. “How can I be of service today?” What am I willing to allow into my life?

Use these questions as a guide and watch the doors of abundance open for you.
