How to meditate Meditation practice is one of the most powerful things you can do to relax, relieve stress, improve your health, increase happiness, and expand your consciousness.

Meditation actually has so many subtle and powerful benefits. It’s hard to put them all into words. By connecting with your inner peace and calm through meditation, you naturally raise your awareness. Meditation helps you wake up to perceive reality beyond the limited scope of the ego mind.

Simply banging the well of inner peace is something that seduces many people with meditation. However, many beginners are overwhelmed by the “how to meditate” and give up before they experience the benefits of calming their minds.

How to calm your mind with meditation

What is meditation?

Meditation is a simple habit of calming your mind’s chatter by focusing on one thing. With practice, meditation can open the door to experience the sacred light and beauty of the spiritual realm.

When it comes to meditation, there are many preconceived notions about the correct way to meditate. But in reality, there is no “right way” to meditate. This post is not about finding the best way to meditate, but simply engaging in practice, and meditation is effective in many shapes and sizes, so it’s easy to get started.

When you think of a person who meditates, you may think of a monk sitting in a temple where he meditates for hours. Yes, this is meditation, but so are those sitting on benches at busy train stations. They are focused on their breath and are completely present for 3 minutes until the train arrives.

Meditation can also be achieved, and the body is active, and practices while walking, running, stretching, or taking a shower in nature. Meditation is effective when creating formal meditation spaces and listening to guided meditation recordings. Alternatively, you can sit on the couch in silence for two minutes, breathe and reset your mind.

When keeping meditation practice simple and achieving enormous benefits, there is really no reason not to practice meditation every day.

But how do you get started?

I often get questions from people who want to take advantage of the benefits of meditation, but struggle to calm and calm.

Below are some tips to help you learn meditation.

Find a comfortable place to sit and meditate

When learning to meditate, finding a quiet and comfortable place to sit is really helpful by eliminating distractions and allowing you to concentrate inside. Practice will allow you to learn to stand up and meditate in a busy, chaotic environment, lie down (without falling asleep), but for beginners it is the ideal place to start a comfortable chair, bench, or meditation cushion. If you don’t have a meditation cushion, you don’t need to buy it. Find a place where you can sit peacefully for a few minutes without interruption, simply work with what you have.

Breath

Close your eyes and start taking a deep breath. Focusing your attention on your breath is a great way to learn meditation and start practicing meditation. Deep and careful breathing slows your heart rate and relaxes your muscles, soothes the body physically. Breathe consciously. It’s a great way to meditate.

Light a candle

Simply closing your eyes, breathing, and tapping on inner peace may be the challenge when you first learn to meditate. If you find it difficult to release your thoughts, light a candle and stare at the flames. Using candlelight as a focus is a powerful way to focus your mind on one thing (candle). If there is no candle, imagine a blank screen in front of your mind, and gaze patiently at your gaze, noticing a flash of light, color, or shape.

Focus on God’s quality

Another way to meditate is to choose the quality you want to embody, such as love, joy, and compassion. Fill your mind with this quality and focus completely and completely. Let’s say you choose to meditate on love. Free ideas that have nothing to do with love and focus entirely on what love is. When did you experience love? How do you express love? How does love look, how does it look, feel, and can you hear it? Actively refocus your mind on fully adjusting to love, letting go of other worries, thoughts, or doubts for just a few minutes as a daily meditation.

Release the thoughts so that they appear (and they will)

When learning to meditate for the first time, it is important to note that meditation is a positive process. Instead of setting an intention to meditate, your mind instantly responds with perfect clear, presence and presence (but that’s not a good thing). When you start meditation, there is a natural process of consciously releasing your thoughts. Be careful when ideas appear. Accept it and bring your focus back to breath. Meditation is the presence and awareness. If you find yourself getting worse or irritated by thinking something like, “Why can’t I do this?” or “Why can’t I just calm my mind?”, acknowledge your frustration and emotions, let it go when you breathe in, stare at the candle light, or concentrate on the blank screen in front of you.

experiment

Meditation is practice. So you can practice and experiment and find the one that’s best for you. When you think of meditation, you may think of a sitting stepping under a tree, which actually works very well for many people, but without flexibility you will really get uncomfortable and focus on it rather than the tranquility within you. Try meditating by sitting or lying in a quiet, quiet room or in a quiet, peaceful room with your eyes open and closed. Play in a variety of ways. When meditating while sitting on a cushion on the floor, while using a wall to support your back, it’s easier to meditate than trying to sit in a chair or lie down while you’re comfortable.

Please listen to A Guided Meditation

There are many guided meditations on this site. This will help you focus and naturally receive the benefits of meditation by simply focusing on guided meditation. Even when listening to guided meditations, you may have thoughts that appear, but remember that when they come out you can release them and return the focus to your meditation, and everything is fine.

Accept what it exists and is

Freeing your expectations about what meditation is like will make you feel more positive. Because you’re happy with what happens. Meditation is just like that, so don’t stress whether you’re doing it right or doing it well…it’s about consistent practice over time, and if you practice consistently, your meditation will naturally become deeper and more powerful. Once you have finished your meditation, you will be grateful for the opportunity and for what you have experienced, and this gratitude will pave the way for a more positive experience of meditation.

Meditation is not easy to learn, but it is worth the effort as it combines blessings that fill all areas of your life.

Start meditation for 2 minutes a day and keep it easy to commit. Practice simply by brushing your teeth and calming your mind is a great place to start. Get started, practice, mix in some guided meditations, and use the tips above to take your meditation practice to the next level.

Happy meditation!

With love and gratitude,
Melanie
