Find your center in a world that screams with noise A practical approach: A Journal of Self-Discovery
Robert Cassidy
In today’s fast-paced world, the constant barrage of information and external influences make it difficult to connect with the real self. When the world is attacking you for hundreds of emails, thousands of texts, and a million reasons that endlessly scroll through the ocean of anxiety (not to mention family, friends, pets, and lists…), how can you really get to know yourself? And better questions: why Should I know myself?
From my experience, top performers in business, arts, mental wellness, the answer is simple. All solutions are available from the centre. This is all top performers and what’s important is what the happiest people in my life know. From the center (where this self-news) all challenges present clear solutions. Instantly. Let me show you the scenario. Think of yourself as a chef. Let’s be more specific. Let’s say you’re a chef specializing in French baking. And you’ve completed the best croissants in the world! It’s butter, light and gives a unique, tasty twist that’s different from all the other croissants in the world. Complete this recipe and you’ve spent years training. It was handed over to you by your grandmother. One day you decided to open a bakery to start selling these croissants. You open a store, and from the beginning, the world loves them! The business is great because they love them so much. Every morning, customers are turning the corner.
Now, this is where things get cumbersome. After a few weeks, customers will start to request more variations of your croissant. “Can I make an almond croissant?” … “How about chocolate croissants?” … “Can I make a muffin!” I’m overly excited about this new world. noiseyou immediately start to whip new recipes and you spend hours trying to respond to the demands of the world, without seeing whether they match your original intentions. Even more annoying, you can get very caught up in the noise your customer has made and drop the standard for signature croissants. Suddenly, the croissants you spent years on hadn’t learned how to perfect.
When you try to turn yourself in 100 different directions to meet the demands of the world, you spread yourself thinly. Customers lose interest. The lines around the corner will be shorter and business will be stopped. Now, let’s be clear. We live our lives to evolve. Customer suggestions are great ideas that can be implemented to grow your repertoire! But you (the best French baker in the world) should never forget, this is your original recipe. Never forget the original mission’s intentions. The knowledge you have about who you are and what you are. This ratiophor helps to remind us that we are too often caught up in the noise of the world. We act to please others, and as a result, no one pleases. Not others or ourselves. If we are simply “reacting” to the world, we are not in alignment. We reach for something outside of ourselves, rather than moving from the perfect essence of true being.
Alignment is everything. By working with your true presence, you will retain solutions and answers to all life challenges and adventures. And implement these solutions at the perfect tempo. Your tempo. That’s what I’m here: how to find your tempo. How to find your true alignment. I teach the journey and process of self-discovery. This is my book journey: Self-discovery Journal
It is a journey where you come to greater alignment with your true existence. This guided journal offers a structured approach to navigating the noise of the world, and in this ascension of noise, you reveal your true voice.
What this book offers: Guided reflection with historical wisdom
The journal provides 364 prompts with over 100 quotes from 50 historical and contemporary figures. This design promotes daily reflection and encourages users to engage in ongoing conversations between themselves and the wisdom of famous thinkers. By pondering these prompts and insights, individuals can clarify their values, beliefs and aspirations.
Overall focus on major life areas
The journal highlights five important domains: health, wealth, relationships, mental well-being and spirituality. By dedicating time to look back at each area, users can identify aspects of life that may be hidden by external noise. This holistic approach ensures a balanced self-dissemination and promotes growth and harmony across all aspects of life.
I accept silence to hear your inner voice
In a society where constant stimulation is the norm, embracing moments of silence is transformative. Research shows that silence can reduce stress and promote relaxation more effectively than music. By intentionally incorporating quiet moments into everyday life, individuals can connect more deeply with their inner self and promote clarity and self-awareness.
Overcoming internal and external screams
JS Park discusses internal and external voices that influence our self-awareness in “Voices We Carry: Find Your True Voice in a World of Screams and Noise.” By recognizing and dealing with these voices, individuals can navigate the mixed messages of the world and discover their true selves. Ultimately, we don’t live in a vacuum. The great dance of life is listening to your inner knowledge while knowing how to learn and grow alongside others.
So we hope you enjoy a deeper journey of self-introduction. It is the biggest journey of my life and is evolving forever. Travel is endless and it’s the fun of it. The waves won’t stop coming, but with the help of my book, you will learn how to surf them!
I’m happy to go,
Robert
