**Mr. The President: Finding hope in uncertain times**
Faced with the reality that Vice President Kamala Harris lost the 2024 election to Donald Trump, many of us are feeling sad, worried, and anxious. It may feel like our worst fears have come true. But let’s take a deep breath together and remember that even in dark times, the dawn still rises. As the Bible reminds us, “Joy comes in the morning,” and as Bob Marley sang, “Every little thing will work out.”
This is not just a call to optimism. It is a call to resilience, to faith that transcends fear and transcends division. We are not powerless, even if the world feels tilted. Our strength lies in living a life of love, compassion, and grace, even in difficult times. Be a voice of compassion and understanding for those who may celebrate this change in leadership, even if they are operating from a place of fear or judgment. Let us remind ourselves through our own example that love, not fear, is the higher path.
As we step into our next chapter, may we commit to being voices of peace, people of kindness, and champions of hope. You can’t change every situation, but you can choose how you respond. And in that response, we create the world we want to live in, one act of grace, one word of mercy, one moment of love at a time.
