1. Most jade rollers are fake!

Jade is becoming increasingly rare and therefore valuable. That, combined with our society’s obsession with cheapness, has led to manufacturers mastering the art of creating fake jade.

Common techniques include dyeing, chemical modification (usually by injection of plastic polymers), exposure to radiation (which changes color), and the use of real stones such as marble, serpentine, or aventurine to replicate jade. Includes other toxic treatments that alter the stone.

As you can imagine, this harsh treatment completely destroys the subtle beneficial energies of the stone, rendering the jade roller useless from a vibrational standpoint.

Fake jade roller still has some advantages as a facial massage tool. Even when chilled, fake jade rollers are effective in reducing inflammation, supporting lymphatic drainage, and promoting circulation.

However, if you are looking to work with jade for spiritual and vibrational purposes, supporting spiritual awakening and expansion of consciousness, and toning your face, it is best to avoid fakes.

So how do you tell if a roller is fake?
Honestly, it’s hard to do…and with so many fakes on the market, I think the only way to know if you’re getting an authentic jade roller is to know its source.

Knowing the provenance literally means asking the seller where and how they sourced the jade for their rollers…

Because sadly today, even if it’s real jade, it doesn’t necessarily mean it’s an ethical choice to buy it.

2. Much of the real jade on the market is incredibly unethical.

Genuine jade is becoming more and more rare…and fake jade isn’t the only type of jade to avoid… We strongly recommend avoiding jade from Myanmar/Burma.

The jade mining industry in Myanmar/Burma is completely inhumane.

Whether it’s just a little bit before bed or 10 minutes as part of a pampering self-care routine, you can’t go wrong with it.

Roll the jade over your face, neck, and forehead in any way that feels comfortable.
