A compassionate base living course
Choden and Heather Regan-Addis (MANTRA BOOKS)
Here is a book on a new caret -based living course!
A compassionate base living courseThis is a self -derivative course based on Choden and Heather, a 15 -year experience of teaching thousands of students on thorough care meditation courses. It is based on the compassion and practice from Mahayana Buddhism, which is adapted by Western audience to access them. This book is a simple psychological term, which contains the voice of the practice of meditation with guides, is a simple psychological term, gradually presenting the theory and practice in step.
This book provides thorough grounds for anyone who is interested in compassionate topics, but also provides a step -in -stages of becoming more compassionate. The author’s experience is that training for mindfulness meditation is very useful, well known and widely studied. But caring meditation training is transformed. Self -critical people overwhelmed by the weight of the world are transformed into cheerful and courageous people and are ready to surf the waves of life.
The outstanding aspect of this compassionate training is the ideas of the congestive confusion that Rob Neans first clarified by Rob Neans. We recognize that human condition is a troublesome business. The human brain has evolved for survival, not happiness. We must be subject to conditions from childhood, culture and society. As a result, we can get a violent collection of the habit of carrying and always acting. We recognize that we did not choose this evolved human brain. Since we did not choose our own conditioning, we can release ourselves from our hooks for our clutter. It is very safe to recognize that human condition is not one of the perfection. Instead, we can provide some compassion on ourselves and become a compassionate confusion.
One aspect of the training described in the book is originally derived from the practice of the Tibetan Buddhist god, but is a compassionate image adapted to the western context. Using our imagination, we each foster a compassionate existence that embodies the qualities of compassion, such as kindness, strength, courage, and wisdom. Our compassion is always unconditionally for us when we need to use qualities to support us when we are facing difficulties. As time goes on, we begin to embody the qualities of caring and step into our caring self.
Then we take the principle of Mandala’s Buddhism. There is our caring self, and there are all of our own aspects that are struggling. The difficult aspects of the difficulties are our uneasy self, our sad self, our self -critical self, and our ambitious self. And we imagine that we live in a caring self and provide compassionate qualities to the aspects of our own struggles. In this way, we can hold and take care of our aspects that are struggling in our lives.
In the book, we start with self -sympathy, and in the context of the four immeasurable qualities: kindness, compassion, joy, and equality, we will be compassion for others. The kindness hopes that we and others are happy, and compassion hopes that we and others will be released from suffering. Therefore, caring training needs to respond to our suffering in a way that we face difficult and cultivate resources. This book is more fun because it focuses on gratitude and gratitude for the good things in life because of the inevitable focus of suffering. Fostering joy in this way is an important resource to be able to face the difficulties of our lives.
At the end of the book, we explore and take and send them to the powerful Tibetan’s compassionate practice in Tonren. In this practical practice, it will overturn the normal habits of retaining comfortable things and removing unpleasant things. In this practice, when we inhale, we take in the energy of suffering, exhale and send compassionate energy. For example, we may imagine a dear friend who is sitting in front of us. 。 We do this until all their suffering turns compassionate.
Don’t worry, if this seems like a distant step, don’t worry, you’re not thinking about this. For many years, the author has developed various ways to access this practice. For example, we practice the tonlen movement, practice by stepping into a compassionate self, and supplies the careless energy before we start practicing Tonren. Furthermore, we believe that all suffering transform into a compassionate energy, easy to turn into a compassionate energy in our caring hearts, and to be cold and cold with air conditioners. Many of our students feel that this practice is rewarding in the first place, but over time, I feel that it is a very powerful practice to respond to the most difficult era.
Chorden lives in Edinburgh and is a Buddhist who is practiced in the Karma Kagau lineage of Tibetan Buddhism for 40 years, and has become a monk K. He completed a three -year retreat in 1997. Choden and Heather were collected 15 years ago by meditation teacher Rob Nairn. Choden cooperated with Rob on the first mindfulness course, when Heather was the first student. Robs knew that Heather had trained a mindfulness -based approach on a master’s course at Bango University in Wales, so she educated her for the final retreat of the First Mindfulness Course. I asked to participate in the team. The following year, Rob, Choden and Heather started the first training course of compassion.
CHODEN and HEATHER established the Mindfulness Association in May 2010, and in September 2010, have partnered with the University of Abadine to launch MSCs that both the authors have learned in mindfulness. 。 This MSC provides both experimental training and mindfulness academic research based on the first three levels of meditation training mindfulness, compassion, and insights of the Mindfulness Association.
