A community orchard is returning to Birmingham with the aim of teaching people how to grow their own food and be part of the solution to climate change.
They are set up by the Fruit and Nut Villages charity, which was founded in 2018 and now has more than 50 locations.
Fruit trees, shrubs and other perennial plants can now be found growing in public open spaces and plots, outside churches and mosques.
Once established, the long-term goal is to distribute produce to those who need it most, but locals are invited to join in the fruit picking.
The charity relies on a team of volunteers, some of whom are homeless, to manage the facility.
