The bridge and the groove between us

by Cynthia Riverd

When you look at the stages of the world, it often appears to be one of the big divisive gaps in conflict. And if you’re tasked with leading in all abilities, this is probably showing up for you at the micro level. This article explains why this crack is so prevalent, provides a step-by-step guide to breaking down those cracking walls, and creates the consensus that we all need for true progress.

We are all products of programming, perspective and paradigm. These are the three ps that influence our progress, and our programs are the most insidious in the progress of blocking.

When I talk about programs in the context of people, I mention how our brains were wired to adapt our beliefs and behaviors. The most common program we all share is a program that is an instinctive program aimed at our survival. At this point in our evolution, many of these instincts are no longer of any use, and I say “were there” because in fact, the challenge of actually living our most fulfilling life.

Survival instincts that are no longer useful to us

There are a lot of instinctive programs. These were the automatic responses of the human minds that have been with us since the beginning of our evolution, and were intended to keep us safe from physical dangers and ensure the survival of our species. But there are things that are most relevant to what is happening in our world at this point.

Humans long for identity and everyday life -One of our main instincts is to seek and stick to what we know (as if we depend on our lives). This instinct applies in the case of situations, people, or ideas, and aims to keep us safe, as new or different was often synonymous with danger in our caveman days.

You can see an example of this anywhere. Examples include those who are miserable in the current situation but are still reluctant to chase after a new job or change relationships. Their subconscious will find reasons to justify their hesitation or provide resistance to moving. Another example is those fighting for their current beliefs. They refuse to listen to alternative ideas, beliefs, or perspectives and fight to convince people with dissent that they are wrong. Alternatives require new beliefs and perspectives to be forgiven And the subconscious mind resists change.

When you observe that someone is fighting for their own perspective or resisting accepting the validity of another person’s perspective, they are not as ignorant or stubborn as you doubt them. You are witnessing their instinctive programming and the need to stick to the beliefs they currently have. We witness this behavior all over the world. But of course, this program is no longer useful, so let’s talk about how to get over it.

Your needs are correct – Recognizing this instinct for yourself is the first step in building consensus building awareness and progress. Usually no one is 100% “right”. By definition, perspective is not a fact, but a perspective. In most cases there are many other perspectives that are thought to be considered.

Understanding that different perspectives lead to innovation and progress is the first step to enabling progress. When you accept this understanding and welcome different perspectives, you are ready to lead the conversation.

Filling conflicts between groups – On the surface, the more obvious challenge is opening other challenges to this idea.

  • Start by meeting where they are. I want to ask a lot of questions and understand their perspective on everything. This helps reduce the resistance to engage in conversation as everyone wants to know they are being heard. No one wants to think about his own opinions or opinions. This will help spread resistance to building opposition and cooperation with the opposition.
  • I agree with the ultimate goal, but please do not attach it to the designated path to get there. People with different perspectives will want to be part of creating a solution or passforward. Open to their involvement and all the possible ideas they may advocate.
  • Understanding and caring about other people’s perspectives doesn’t mean agreeing with them, but remember that it may be. If you have a full understanding of the other side, ensure that you have the chance to change your mind. A leader is someone who needs to be adaptable to the ego, unattached, and has come up with the best ideas. Usually, the best ideas are a lot of integrations. Be flexible, consider everything and open up thinking outside the box.
  • Keep listening, ask questions, and look for opportunities to build a bridge of understanding between groups. The more conflicts and conflicts exist, the more important it is for everyone to understand and trust each other before making significant progress together. Take your time to generate understanding first. That way, it’s worth investing in your time and effort.

Contribution to the team is the scope of success in both business, community activities and life. No one lives or works in the bubble. When you need to work with others, it will often have an opposing perspective.

You will learn to value conflicting perspectives. It is the only way the mind is open to different perspectives and allows us to make progress.
