Everything we do doesn’t have to be that difficult. When you think about what God wants you, make yourself believe it Maybe Let’s become an easy path.

Think about ease of use

When spiritual directors consider God’s invitation, they sometimes see people who want him to suffer, or at least sweat. It may be true, but there is the story of Naaman (2 Kings 5), a leprosy soldier. When his predicament came to the Prophet Elisha, the words were returned: Naaman should be washed seven times in the Jordan River, and he would be healed.

Naaman bald. Elisha didn’t even have it It will be displayed Perform healing. And washing in a dirty river was too easy for Naaman to consider (and probably under his station).

Think about normal

But one of his servants pointed out, “If the Prophet asked you to do something difficult, did you not do it? You will be washed and cleaned!”

Naaman finally agrees, and the story tells him “his flesh has recovered.” Naaman accepted that what God asked him was simple and ordinary. Just wash it in a dirty river.

Listen to your desires and talents

When you identify that God is inviting you into your life, don’t Assume It will be difficult or extraordinary. Invitations often grow from our desires, talents and skills. Perhaps the hardest thing to do is trust that you don’t have to look for the miracles and flashy visions that come with an invitation.

The difficult task may be to embrace the bounty of peace.
