Step 1: Take a step back
As you begin to realize that you have a soul mission and purpose, it can be incredibly overwhelming.
A good way to start remembering that is to take a step back.
When you step back, you are able to observe your life from a place of higher divine intelligence.
As you step back into that space, you can begin to realize that your greatest soul calling and purpose here is to remember.
It is a journey from perceiving oneself as completely separate from Spirit to remembering one’s interconnectedness with all things.
At every moment, from a different perspective, from a different point of view, you are directly connected to the Infinite, the Divine, and All That Is.
If you only remember the truth of your connection to Spirit in this life, and if you only remember that you have the ability to embody higher levels of divine truth, then you will fulfill your soul mission. It will be an incredible success in terms of accomplishments.
Yes, there are several things you can do while you are here.
Yes, you have a specific goal and the type of work you are here to accomplish.
But the most important truth, your soul’s purpose for being here, is to remember who you really are from the perspective of your higher divine mind…you are not in physical form. Remember that you are the light of God incarnate.
A large part of your soul purpose is simply to raise your vibration, embody more love, and live in love, joy, truth, and gratitude.
You can do this by stepping back from the challenges of daily life and observing your life from the higher vantage point of God’s intelligence.
When you do this, you have the ability to be filled with far greater insight, inspiration, and spirit, which brings guidance, insight, and clarity regarding your next steps.
Step 2: Follow the path of joy
The second step is to pay attention to what illuminates you.
Walking the path of joy and bliss aligns you with your soul purpose in life.
But pursuing the life you’re meant to live can feel a little overwhelming, especially if you don’t feel connected.
Start by asking yourself these questions.
- What lights you up?
- What helps you feel alive?
- What helps you feel like you’re on track?
- What activities do you do that energize you?
- What recharges your spirit?
- What evokes a sense of joy and wonder in you?
- What do you do that makes you lose track of time?
These things may hold the key to why you are here.
If you feel really disconnected from what illuminates you, think back to what you loved doing as a child.
- What is something you used to do that you found rewarding and enjoyable, but for some reason you have stopped doing it?
- At what time of the day do you feel most alive?
- What are you not doing to recharge your batteries?
Again, these things hold the key to remembering why you are here and what your soul mission and purpose is.
In most cases, there are no incredibly direct links. But by doing more of the things that light you up and that inspire your soul and make you happy, you can see what steps come next to align with your soul’s calling and your life purpose. You can go on the path to discovering.
For example, if sitting in the forest and meditating is something that brightens you up, your soul purpose is to become a forest ranger and spend a lot of time in the forest meditating. Is that so?
Probably not.
Spending time in the woods may not be directly related to your goals…but once you realize that being in the woods brightens and recharges you and start making that a priority in your life, , you can reclaim your energy and unleash your power. Intuition.
And…perhaps while meditating among the trees, or sitting in the park writing in your journal, you receive inspiration for your next step.
Listening to your inspiration will recalibrate you to your best path
Step by step…as you receive inspiration and act on your intuition, you begin to see the path to your soul’s purpose.
Maybe the next step doesn’t make sense to you… like writing a poem about trees… or doing something unrelated like refinishing your bedroom dresser.
By beginning to follow the path of your joy, inspiration, and intuition, you can get on track to remembering why your soul is actually here.
Step 3: Let go of what’s holding you back.
Every time we start on the path of our true soul purpose and mission, the sneaky little voices of ego and resistance arise.
You may have an idea to write a poem about trees and it will take off. Writing that poem will reveal the next step in how you can take a leap forward in understanding your purpose for being here.
But when you start writing that poem, your ego roars loudly and says, “I don’t want to write that poem. Who do you think you are? No one cares what you write.
That loud, ugly voice may be your own inner voice. Or you might hear a brother say, your voice is terrible You don’t have that qualification.
I mention this so look for it. And when it comes up, you can ignore it and press on and do things anyway.
When you do that, on the other side of getting done, something else comes along and shows up, allowing you to release what is blocking you and holding you back.
If you truly want to uncover the truth of your soul’s mission, take stock of the habits, patterns, and perspectives in your life and ask yourself: Is this helping me raise my vibration, stand in my truth, and live a life of joy, abundance, and fulfillment?
If not, how can you change some of these things to brighten yourself up?
Step 4: Practice positivity and openness
Align your gratitude for all the blessings that are already around you. This changes your point of resonance and attraction.
While you are open to the blessings of life that are already around you, you are also open to new possibilities and opportunities that are waiting for you to vibrationally align with them.
It is also important to be open, because the call of fate may literally be knocking on your door. It may show up in ways you don’t expect. If it’s closed, you’ll say no.
But even more blessings arise when you are open to what life presents you, when you surrender to God’s intelligence and say “yes” to life’s opportunities right now.
As a result, hidden blessings, opportunities, and possibilities that are not currently visible may emerge.
Step 5: Focus on serving
The fifth important step in remembering your soul’s calling is to commit to serving the greatest good of all.
Your soul’s purpose is to serve and make a difference in the world, in addition to the most important reason to embody more divine truth.
When you decide to serve humanity, the earth, and others, all of your life’s possibilities are filtered through that lens. You begin to see opportunities all around you to serve, help others, make a difference, and share inspiration.
A great way to begin recognizing opportunities to serve your purpose is to ask the following questions:
- How can I inspire others?
- How am I already helping others?
- What can I do that will make the people around me feel better?
- What difference am I already making in the world?
- How can I enjoy serving?
Start taking these 5 steps regularly to embody the truth of your Divine Being.
- Step back and observe from the perspective of your higher, divine mind.
- Give yourself permission to move in the direction that illuminates you.
- Release the fears and blocks that are weighing you down.
- Practice optimism and openness.
- Dedicate yourself to serving others.
Live a life that makes you shine. Pursue new possibilities. Then you’ll know the next steps along the way.
When you decide to make positive changes in your life, you have the will to act on that inspiration.
And when you act on that, the next step, the next door to new opportunities, and a deeper reminder of who you really are and why you’re here will emerge.
You have a soul calling.
You have a soul mission, and while you are here you can fully remember what it is.
These five steps require you to not only recognize your unique soul work and life purpose, but also to remain committed to remembering who you really are.
As you rediscover who you really are, why you are here will naturally begin to reveal itself.
I hope this was helpful to you.
